Customize contact ring tones on 4.4 topic

I'm on a Moto X rooted stock 4.4 rom. I'm having an issue with ringtones for individual contacts. I've set them for 2 contacts, but they never seem to stick. Rebooting doesn't seem to matter. It sticks for a call or two then reverts back to the regular ring tone. Anybody else having issues with this?
