Has anyone successfully swapped the back plate? topic

Now that the wood back plates are popping up on Ebay, I'm wondering how difficult it would be to change out the stock plate with a wood one. It looks like there is no adhesive, flash, or cambera in these new backs, so I'm curious how hard it would be to migrate everything over. Does anyone have any experience doing this and want to give me some pointers? Also, if you don't reuse the adhesive, what product would you use in its place? Thanks in advance!
