How to use Autoruns to decrease Facebook Messenger battery use? topic

Hey guys, I asked over in the Greenify thread but they said 'create another thread cause it's not about Greenify anymore.'

I have a Nexus 5, and I would have liked to Greenify Facebook Messenger and still get push notifications, but I use ART so I can't install XPosed, which is required for that functionality.

I asked if there was any way to accomplish this and someone said:

I have no idea what this means or where to start - can anybody help point me in the right direction?
