Looking for app to dim s4 screen when MHL is activated topic

Hey guys im on android 4.3 and im looking for an app that will shut off the screen when connected to hdmi via my MHL adapter. Im rooted. i used to use screen standby but it no longer works on 4.3 and it seems the developer has abandoned it. Are there any alternatives currently out there at the moment? I love playing my playstation emulator on the tv but can only play for about an hour until the battery is dead
