Need guidance topic

Hey guys!! So i received my GPro. I think its from Hong Kong but im not sure since there are alot of people stating theres an INdian Gpro, and so on... I have just rooted this phone and now I am asking these questions.. please bear with me :);

1. Do i need to do the Security Off part with FreeGee?
2. Is it better to use Freegee to install CWM or flash it without?
3. Which is better CWM or TWRP?

Okay so thats the recovery and S-off part.. now the ROM questions.

4. can you recommend me a custom ROM and tell me why you recommend it?
5. i hear people flashing modems etc. when do i need to do this, after flashing a custom ROM?
6. If my device is HK GPro, then do i just have to flash the HK modem or is there a particular one?
