update your xt1058 to android 4.4.2 (UK Retail Newest Firm) topic

HI, after several times trying to update my xt1058 with the new retail UK firm (and a couple of bricks or imei lost) finally ive found the way to do it.

If u get a cute BrickX... not my problem, do it under ur own risk

dont know if works on xt1060 but in xt1052 and xt 1053 probably do.

STEPS...

1. u need a unlocked bootloader
2. u need to flash a twrp recovery (for 4.4 version)
3. download the UK 4.4.2 firm from here http://sbf.droid-developers.org/down...ice=0&file=806 tnx firmware Team and Skrilax_CZ

4. open RSD Lite, select the firm and click on decompress only
5. once u have the firmware folder decompressed open with wordpad the .xml file and erase the following lines:

<step operation="erase" partition="modemst1" />
<step operation="erase" partition="modemst2" />

6. Save the changes in the xml file and AGAIN in RSD open the folder and select the XML file (do it again, cause if u try to hit start without select it u gonna have issues).
7. Just wait until RSD ends
8. and Voila! u have a fully functional 4.4.2 xt1058
9. if u need to root just reflash twrp recovery and use the SuperSU 1.65 flashable ZIP
