Droid Maxx Downgrade problems topic

So I'm trying to go through the steps here:

...to root my Droid Maxx. The problem is I got my phone from Verizon and the salesman told it to upgrade to the 4.4 OTA. I can't flash it back to 4.2.2 so I can root it. I have tried using RSD Lite with the 4.2.2 firmware version I found here (The 12.15.15 Obake that has the camera patch):

Every time I try to flash it, it gives me a security check error about downgrading. Here's the exact error displayed on the phone:
Downgraded security version update gpt_main version failed preflash validation failed for gpt

This is the 4th device I have rooted, so I'm not a novice, but I wouldn't say I'm a pro either. Any help would be very nice.

@jcase If you can help me with this, I'll gladly donate to your cause as I have used your root methods and exploits several times in the past.
