[Q] Any Advice? topic

Hello everybody, i took the 4.4.2 update from verizon back in February. i realize that there are ways to s-off via a java card, but i am not willing to do that. Im fine with spending the just dont want to have to mail it because this phone is my every-day phone so i would need it. my theory, with this phone being almost 2 months old is that i could contact Verizon and make a complaint about the purple camera tint problem as i do have that. im hoping the refurbished phone i get would come with 4.1.2 or 4.3 because when i picked this phone up new from the verizon store back in January it came with 4.1.2. Do you think this is a good idea or not as i will not get a "new" htc one but refurbished phones are just like new as i have had many before. Also, there is probably not gonna be a exploit released for awhile and im not fine with waiting till August.

[Q] Nexus 5(JA) Differences? topic

I am going to be moving to Japan in about a month and had a quick question. From what I understand there is only 2 versions of it (820 for us & 821 rotw). I can pick up a Nexus 5 821 here for fairly cheap right now and just wanted to verify that the phone will work in Japan before I did so. I understand that using it in the US I would probably be limited to 3G which I could live with for the next few weeks if it gives me the opportunity to setup my phone before leaving and just swapping the sim & apn settings.

I guess my question is; Are all unlocked LG-D821 models the same or is the LG-D821(JA) different in some way that would affect its usage? Also, would the unlocked D821 be able to access the Japan play store with just the sim change or would I need to re-flash for that?

OR Is all of this just going to cause me a headache and I should just wait until I get there to buy one? :silly:

Does anyone know why my phone won't save recorded videos ?? I record for 15 minutes then hit the button to stop it and it doesn't save the file ?? Any ideas how to recover this now ??

hi i just flashed i and updated to the lastest twrp which went well then i flashed the boot.img for aicp kk and did a backup of my rom as i was going to update to kitkat but the backup failed i then went to hboot to reflash the boot.img to my original rom so i could boot my phone up to free some space on my sd card to try again but suddenly my pc started installing the drivers after which my pc rebooted after it settled i went back to my phone and hboot woulnt responed so i hard rebooted my phone and now it just keeps rebooting i try to go to hboot and it just carries on i dont know what to do if anyone can help i would really apprecite it thank you

Battery life. topic

How's everybody's battery life doing since you've had the new one? Mine has been pretty amazing so far. Haven't been using it hardcore but still using normally like how I used my older m7. Instagram, xda, updating apps, little gaming here and there, play music, camera and have gotten 30 hours off my first full charge all while on 4g, didn't turn wifi on once. Here's a screen shot of my usage. That flat lines on the graph is when I was sleeping. What's everybody else been getting?

Hi, don't know if this is the right place, but can someone make an app that has active display notifications when the device gets a notification and senses movement like th M8? but since the M7 doesnt have the magnetic sensor, the screen could display the dot matrix illusion made by the M8 dot case

Just wondering if the digitizer of the phone extended into the black area on the face of the phone where the HTC logo is, if so, would it be possible to produce a screen protector with button outlines on it that would go over this black area and mod the software so that it detected touch in those areas. The screen protector could have two buttons printed on it and the same button layout as the HTC one. Any screen protectors or mods like this?, possible in the future?, thanks

No doubt this is a question that has already been asked and answered. However, since I can't find it, I'm forced to bring this up one more time. I'm getting ready to shop for a new smartphone, and I am trying to choose between the S4 and the S5. It is my intent to get an unlocked phone, and I use primarily AT&T's networks. There are multiple variants of each of these phones out there, some of which will work for 4g LTE in the US on AT&T's networks, and some which will not. So, my first question is which models, or variants, of each of these devices do I want to consider? My second question is one of is it worth it to pay the premium for the S5 over the S4. I would have thought my timing was such that prices on the S4 would be dropping around now, just like they did on the S3 when the S4 came out. But I'm not seeing much in the way of a reduction in prices. If it's less than 0 premium for the S5, I guess I might as well bite the bullet. So, any direction or help will be greatly appreciated.

Urgent: E988 unrooted, stock rom, India, acting "weird" after boot topic

Previous help requests by me told how i removed my memory card from mobile as service centre guy told me about possible battery drain.

Today i was little bored so i put my MMC in phone, rebooted and went to settings. Suddenly i see weird settings style on my phone (like samsung galaxy types) Attachment 2653997

Again not to mention, i have stock unrooted rom so can't say of any modifications! But when i try to go to "about phone" section, it force stops. Attachment 2653988

Over and above, i never saw this font 'bykzongyulpen' earlier ever. Now i am seeing it Attachment 2653992

Due to my sata credit limitations, i checked '2g network only' in data connectivity. Now i cannot even go there.

[Q] SIMLOCK - Xperia Z1 C6903 topic

Hi,

I was trying to install the deodexed version of 4.4.2 Stock rom for my C6903
But it stuck at SONY logo,
so i flashed the older 4.2.2 FTF (C6903_14.1.G.1.534_1276-4314_R2A.ftf)
And now my phone is SIMLOCKED what the hell.
It did not have a simlock before, because in Belgium they don't do that.

Is there a way to get rid of it without unlocking bootloader to get full control of device kernel and ****...

FYI - I have a TA Backup of a working 4.2.2 and also of a working 4.4.2, might that help me getting rid of the simlock?
