[Q] Nexus 5(JA) Differences? topic

I am going to be moving to Japan in about a month and had a quick question. From what I understand there is only 2 versions of it (820 for us & 821 rotw). I can pick up a Nexus 5 821 here for fairly cheap right now and just wanted to verify that the phone will work in Japan before I did so. I understand that using it in the US I would probably be limited to 3G which I could live with for the next few weeks if it gives me the opportunity to setup my phone before leaving and just swapping the sim & apn settings.

I guess my question is; Are all unlocked LG-D821 models the same or is the LG-D821(JA) different in some way that would affect its usage? Also, would the unlocked D821 be able to access the Japan play store with just the sim change or would I need to re-flash for that?

OR Is all of this just going to cause me a headache and I should just wait until I get there to buy one? :silly:

Moto G vs. Moto G Differences topic

I'm about to order my second Moto G (16gb, US GSM) identical to the first one I pre-ordered. Unfortunately, my clumsy ass dropped my unprotected Moto G face first into the concrete cracking the screen. Not the G's fault...my stupid fault. My question is this: My first Moto G was from the first "batch" produced. Are there any minor differences between the first round of Moto G's released and currently shipping G's? Sometimes minor things will be tweaked from batch to batch like the display calibration or even very minor hardware changes from one vendor to another vendor. Just wondering if anything like that has happened that I should be aware of.

[Q] Galaxy Grand Duos update to 4.2.2 differences topic

Hi,

I updated the Samsung firmware/software (or whatever it's called) today from 4.1.2 to 4.2.2 Kernel 3.0.31-2212686.

I have noticed a couple of niggling little differences in the operation of my phone and am wondering how to change these back to the way they were BEFORE I updated.

1) When typing my PIN code on the lock screen, the phone vibrates. It never used to. How do I change it back?

2) When I receive a text message, I now get a preview of the message on my lock screen. I never used to get those either. How do I change it back?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi Guys!

Please can anyone explain me what is the difference between a LG E-615, E-615f and LG Optimus L5?
My question is about this:

I wanted a DUAL sim phone with 3G behaviour in the 900 and 1900 Mhz bands. My seller told me that the LG-E-615 was the one. If some one check this model at gsmarena.com it look like it is ok. But it´s not. This model only has 3G features at 900 and 2100 Mhz bands.

Is this a ROM feature?
Can I upgrade to a new one in order to gain 3G behaviour at the 1900 Mhz band? or there is a hardware restriction?

Differences between two identical N7's ??? topic

Hello,
I've noticed some strange differences between two identical N7's:
I bought a N7 (16 GB, WiFi) in May 2013, it has been updated to KitKat 4.2.2.
A month ago my brother bought another one, it's also updated to KiKat 4.2.2.
Both tablet works fine, I think...
But..., on my brothers tablet the Asphalt 8 game (and a few other) downloaded directly from GooglePlay runs fine, on my tablet not even want to start.
About a couple of times I reset my tablet to it's factory (default) settings, reinstall the apps, but nothing changed, some apps (usually heavier games) still refuse to start.:(
What's wrong with my N7?
