[Q] Trying to root my htc evo 3d 4g topic

I am running android 4.0.3 and i have my bootloader unlocked. My hboot is 1.58.0000. I installed twrp shooter 1.1.1 recovery. When i tried to install the superuser 3.1.3-arm, i rebooted and I apparently still had no root. What am I doing wrong? Am i using the wrong recovery, or superuser? If there is a tool out there that i can use I would way rather use that. Please help, and thank you!
