are nexus 7 2012 and 2013 parts interchangeable? topic

The 2012 Nexus 7 32gb has a broken USB connector. We also have 2013 Nexus 7 16Gb. The cost of replacing the USB connector or getting another charger is too much. We are thinking of getting another 2013 Nexus 7, 32GB.

Can I use the 2012 parts on the 2013? Or vice versa.
