Grrrrrrrrr KitKat kills SD access. Cannot root cause of knox topic

Grrr... i recently upgraded to KitKat on my N9005, and wish I hadnt.

The new access restrictions to SD card break all my workflows (mainly DropSync and rsync to load media on).

I cant even root to fix it, because Samsung wont honour the warranty if I trip the knox flag.

Not happy AT ALL with this situation.

I had the note1, note2 and now the note3. I will not be getting a Note 4 :( effectively my 64 gig card is now useless
