Noon question: How to use Platinum flip cover? topic

I searched and didn't see anything specific to this: I got a Platinum leather flip case with a window. Is there some way to "activate" it? Or should it automatically work? Because it doesn't. Now, I know Kit Kat has some issues in that department, and I am on the latest firmware.
