I just want to share my experience in case somebody is interested. I tried to root my I9500 running official TW stock 4.4.2 (Russian). I tried first with Saferoot, it did not work. Then I tried Kingo, which to my surprised worked like a charm! The only problem, it did install the latest version of CWM, which of course triggered the knox counter. I was very surprised as I thought the method was either going to fail or succeed, I was not expecting this kind of result and I have no idea why this happened. I emailed the kingo team and waiting to hear what they think...
Of course It is not what I was looking for, but that’s okay I tried at my own risk. Now, I have one simple question for you. The CWM is in Chinese.
Can I just flash an English version with the recovery or it is better to use Odin?
