How to disable lockscreen widget sliding? topic

Got my t-mobile lg g2 two weeks ago and a lot of the times when I try unlocking my phone (pattern) I accidentally slide the screen over and get an option to add a widget. This happens all the time, what can I do to get rid of the add widget screen?
