[Q] Imported texts sorting problem topic

i moved my texts from my old phone using titanium backup. all messages transferred and most threads survived intact. a few of the larger ones, however, restored sorted all sms by date, followed by all mms by date. i see no way to force a re-sort. am i missing an obvious setting?

I see similar posts in the forums for xperia z and arc, but no answers.
