porting to striaght talk?? topic

just wondering if it were possible to port this phone over to straight talk? i got on thier page and entered my imei number and it came back saying that i could. it said i needed to purches the sim card and thats it.. i see where the sim card is right next to the sd card, but does sprint allow me to remove it and use another carrier? do they not have everything locked??? or can i just remove it and go get that straight talk chip??
