[Q] Changing screens to get off 4.3? topic

I have an old SIII that was on v4.1. It quit working due to a broken screen. I did an insurance claim on a different sIII and the new phone came with 4.3 pre installed. What would happen if I put the good glass/screen from 4.3 phone onto the old one with 4.1? It is a legit phone so I should be able to get a new sim from verizon and ativate it... correct?
