[Q] More Rows And Columns - Stock Launcher topic

Hi guys, I was wanting to add more rows and columns on the home screens and the app drawer on the stock launcher. I know that I can use Nova Launcher to do it but I like the stock launcher more. Is there a way to do this or do I have to use a home replacement launcher? I'm already rooted if that helps.
