Remove bloatware and ota update topic

I've just rooted my device (bootloader still locked) and now I'm wondering if I remove apps I don't use, will an ota update still work? I remember I had problems in the past with it (Asus transformer). After I removed some standard apps, the update function didn't work anymore. I now I can freeze apps with titanium backup but I prefer to remove them.

The first phone I don't want to install a custom ROM on. Stock is fine (kitkat would be nice) but I want to remove the bloatware. What can and cannot removed safely? Is there some sort of list?

4.4.2 BloatWare topic

Has anyone noticed how much they have moved it around. I mean not only is it in /data/data/ /data/etc/ /system/app/ and other places, they now put in /system/priv-app/ and others. They are really trying to hide it this time lol. I was think of putting a new list together if people are interested.

I do a lot of traveling, so it may take a few day before I can sit down to complete it.

On my previous samsung / htc devices i could easily remove all the bloatware while being rooted with apps like system app uninstaller from the play store but on this device (z1 compact) all bloatware removal apps fail.

I'm looking for a solution to remove this crap. Any tips are welcome !

[Q] Missing Samsung Bloatware for Galaxy Gear topic

I just flashed the Infamous GE 4.4.2 Rom on my tmo S4 and keep getting this error message when my phone boots:

"Unfortunately SAPedometerSettingProvider has stopped"

I'm also unable to install the Samsung App Store app or get notifications on my watch.

I also got an error message about this app that is not found or can't run:

com.samsung.android.notiprovider..... (don't remember the rest, but looks like the notification service)

I'm guessing that i'm missing some samsung bloatware but not sure.

Can anyone help me troubleshoot this?

Would returning to the stock firmware possibly fix this?

[NOT FOR NOOBS] Bloatware removal - Hardcore mode! (use at your own risk) topic

Since I was asked to release the remove bloatware script (hardcore mode) from the now more or less obsolete kn0x0ut toolbox, here it goes.

This baby removes like 99,9% of bloatware you can think of, including most google stuff (only Google Account, Google Services Framework, and Play store remain, thats all you need to download apps), all the "test" apps and otherwise useless stuff in my eyes.

Only run this if you know what you are doin and know how to reinstall the stuff incase something gets deleted that you want to use.

Make a nandroid backup before too or something, and report if something important is not working after running. (was created for ML2 rom, dunno if it works with Kitkat)

Calling, GPS, Wifi, etc. should all be still working. (but NetworkLocation gets deleted, this will stop the phone sending location data to google afaik, but GPS-aware apps still work. Just install it back if you want to be tracked errr I mean if you want apps to get your location by network data from google.

[Q] Getting rid of the bloatware topic

Hi all. Just got the LG G2 today, and it's already rooted not 5 minutes out of the box - awesome. Anyway, I wanted to get rid of all the bloatware Verizon puts on there.

I've gotten rid of most, but is there a good list of stuff safe to remove? Also, I can't seem to find these so I can nuke 'em:
