[Q] Unbrick hard-bricked SPH-L710 topic

Hello all!

Well, looks like I hard-bricked my phone. It will not boot into download or recovery mode. What do I do?
I tried using quite a couple sd-card guide, but no avil.
I tried http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2345860 and http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2369125

Also, if it will help, I got a full backup of boot, cache, data, recovery, system in ".win" files. I cannot load it the "simple" way (through TWRP) since I cannot even get into recovery.

Please help me fix this without using a JTAG service, because there is always the question of wheater I will get my phone back once it is fixed.

Maxwell Dreytser.

Is my Kindle hard-bricked? topic

I have the Kindle 8.9 HD with the front-facing camera. I tried to flash CM 11, but now it's stuck at the bootscreen. It has the orange and white boot screen and a second later, a pixelated white bar pops up on the left, then it stays frozen until I shut it down. Windows doesn't seem to detect it at all, and I can't seem to get fastboot mode except for in Ubuntu using Soupkit. However, even if I do manage to get it into fastboot on Soupkit, SK says the device is offline afterwards even though the tablet displays fastboot on the screen.

It should be said and might be obvious, I'm not entirely sure what I'm doing. I spent a great deal of time reading into how to troubleshoot it myself. I do have previous experience with flashing roms on my Android phone, but that's about it.

[Q] T-Mobile S2 T989 - hardbricked / can jtag fix it? topic

I received an SGH-T989 that wouldn't boot. It had TWRP on it, so I was able to flash latest stable CWM. Upon reboot, it apparently became hard-bricked.

Currently, I'm unable to enter download or recovery modes. USB Jig does not work. There is no output on the screen, even when charging the battery. When connected in Windows (32 or 64), I get a usb error message: "This device is disabled because the firmware of the device did not give it the required resources. (Code 29)"

My question: Is the motherboard dead, or could a jtag repair fix it?

What I've tried:
  • multiple micro usb cables

  • usb jig

  • odin

  • keis

  • heimdall

Thanks xda!
