Modem Freezing? Dropping internet. topic

I've got a N5 from the play store right when it came out. I've noticed that randomly during the day if I'm using the internet via browser, apps, hangouts, etc the page / app will suddenly lose connectivity. Not just the app though, nothing on my phone can access internet. The status bar with show full bars, and 3G or H connectivity, and when I pull down the quick settings the connection is white, not red. So I toggle airplane mode, but when I do so there is a long delay where nothing happens. Maybe 20 or 30 seconds before airplane mode finally kicks in. Then after disabling airplane mode, I can use the internet again for a while before I have to repeat.

Any thoughts what might cause this? I've flashed older radios, wiped and flashed several Roms including full stock not rooted, and I keep having this issue.

There's a chance it could be my carrier, but my wife's phone on the same carrier (but a store-bought N5) never has this issue...

Thanks for your input!

Signal dropping constantly topic

So my mom has this phone, and me and my sister have HTC ones. Our phones work fine at home, and we just got Lte coverage a few days ago, so that's been nice. However, my mom's phone recently has been dropping basically every call no matter where she is or how much service it says she has. The signal bars show a red x, and usually given time the service will come back, but sometimes it takes a restart. I've tried updating profile and prl, and the best the people at the sprint store could do was tell me that there is supposed to be a software update coming to fix it. The phone is completely stock. It doesn't seem like the network cause the other phones work fine. Has anyone else had this issue? Any ideas on what we could try?

Phone dropping incoming calls on answer - Android 4.4 topic

ok, so long story short, I wanted to upgrade to android 4.4 KitKat on my S3, and after a bootloader and modem update, I did.

the bootloader/modem update I installed was the VLUEMK5 update, because my old bootloader was not new enough for KitKat to install.
everything seems to be okay, aside from the usual bugs that come with early distros of new software, but one thing that i noticed is that my phone drops any incoming call the second you answer it. no ifs, ands or buts about it. Im not sure if this is related to KitKat or my modem firmware, so i figured I'd ask since nobody else seems to have presented this issue.

I also cannot find the progress thread for the I747M cyanogenMod 11 that is hosted on get.cm, so if someone could point me to that itd be greatly appreciated.

but back to my problem; does anybody know what it might be, and how I can go about resolving it? or do i just go back to 10.2 for now?
please help! I'm expecting calls from employers and I cant answer them.

Whatever information you need I can do my best to find.

Mobile Network Signal dropping topic

Hey guys, Verizon HTC One running LiquidSmooth and Android 4.4.2, though that's not terribly pertinent. This issue was happening with AOKP, my previous rom.

I gotta doozy for ya: I don't have a signal. So I go into Settings-->More...-->Mobile Networks--> and I change the "Preferred network type" to CDMA+LTE/EVDO. I get a perfect signal (can send calls, texts, 4 bars) until I check "Data enabled" to enable mobile data. The signal then drops to zero bars and the "Preferred Network Type" resets itself to "GSM Only".

imgurcom/NWwOfit is what I see before choosing CDMA+LTE.EVDO

imgurcom/5zaY3XP is after I choose to allow mobile data

imgurcom/xZFoE8G is my APN's after it switches to GSM only

Strangely, the APN's are greyed-out when CDMA+LTE/EVDO is selected for preferred network type.

[Q] Verizon 4G LTE Dropping topic

After installing ViperOne 4.3 rom my 4G LTE has been dropping and wont come back till I either restart the phone or airplane mode.

I've done a clean install w/ viperone 4.1->4.2.1-4.3
but it still drops.
what could it be?
could it be a bad kernel?
