Activate EVO Shift 4G on ting topic

I spent about 5 hours so trying to get my evo shift to activate on Ting.
I had CM7.1 installed and, as you know, you cannot activate service on an ASOP rom.

I tried a few 'stock root' roms that I found in the development forum, but none of them would allow the ## code: ##72786#. (Carrier reset).
They would simply freeze once this was entered and not allow you to continue.

Eventually I tried Supreme Sense v-XII, and this allowed the Carrier reset ## code to work and activation to occur.
So if anyone has this problem in the future, you might give Supreme Sense v-XII a try.

What KitKat ROM are you running that has 4g that works?

I am currently on Vanir and cannot get it to work. I have tried different APN, different radios (GA02 and GJ04). I have gone into *#*#data#*#* and turned on LTE. I have gone into *#*#4636#*#* and I am on GSM/CDMA auto (PRL). I have gone to networks settings and selected LTE. NONE of the settings stick.

I had 4g working at one point on CM 11 Playfulgod edition but I can't remember exactly what I did to make it work. So I am looking for other Ting users that have 4g working and what ROM you are using.
