Hangouts MMS issues!!! topic

Im having TONS of problems all of the sudden with Hangouts and MMS messages.

For a few weeks now when i try and send someone a MMS Hangouts keeps FCing then i reload the app and it FCs over and over and over again. And every time it FCs the other person gets the picture so i end up sending it over and over and over again. It keeps doing this till i can get into the thread delete the message and then go and clear the data from the App.


Then starting today i cant receive MMS anymore. I just get a "Image Downloading tap to retry" message. I tap it and it just sits there with the dancing dots. And now when i go back farther into threads where i had already received pictures. They are just big empty squares with dancing dots.

Anyone else having this issue? And is there a fix?

Hangouts theme topic

I've searched, but I haven't been able to find any themes for hangouts. Does anyone know where I can locate any? Or do I have to install a different SMS app?

Hangouts video problem topic

Hi!

I've resurrection remix v4.0.7 (4.2.2)
and I have a problem when I'm trying to make a video call on Hangouts. I see myself for 3 seconds and then the video become scrambled. when I tried to change camera it said "Camera Error"
Does anybody know what's the problem?

[Q] Question about Google Hangouts topic

Wasn't sure where to post this, but as I have a s3 and it IS a question...

I was curious if there was a way to make hangouts auto enable mobile data to retrieve MMS. I usually use Textra and it has an option to auto enable data to retrieve MMS. As I usually have data off, this was great because it'll turn on, DL the MMS, and then turn off data.

I've been looking at hangouts and wanted to try it, but I can't seem to find if this can do that or not. Failing to see options I also tried to just send a MMS with data off. It didn't turn data on and it failed to send (of course).

Is there a way to do this? or will I just be stuck using third party messaging apps to do this for me?

Running the latest PA gapps on latest QuantumRom 4.4.

phone & hangouts & people apps crashing topic

Hi there,

I got my Moto G from TESCO UK yesterday, so I updated to Kitkat, and i started using it. It was completely ok until now. I tried to launch the PHONE APP (and the PEOPLE APP and HANGOUTS as well) and the apps crash right after i launch them. All of them. Several reboots didnt help. I tried to enter recovery mode to clear cache, but i failed to enter it so the phone turned on again and suddenly it was all working. But now, 1 hour later, it crashed again (all of the 3 apps) and it starts to piss me off.

What do i do please? Anyone experiencing the same?

Hangouts will not send or receive MMS topic

I am on stock from Sprint. I just got the phone yesterday and am unable to send or receive MMS through Hangouts. Is there a fix for this or is this a known problem that has not been resolved yet? Or, is it just my phone?

Hangouts notification during calls? topic

Well , title says all , is there a way to get a sound when I receive a SMS while I'm talking ?:)
I get a sound when I use the "official" messages application , but with hangout nothing...
