[Q] N900W8 Unable to downgrade to 4.3 topic

Hello,

I recently flashed the odin file for the N900W8 (Canadian) Galaxy Note 3 to get Android 4.4 Kit Kat. The Canadian version of the phone I am using has an unlocked bootloader. I decided I want to downgrade and go back to 4.3 but whenever I try to flash the odin file for 4.3 I get this error:

<ID:0/007> NAND Write Start!!
<ID:0/007> FAIL! (Auth)

It also says in download mode: Write Protection: Enable

Reactivation lock is also off.

I was just wondering if anyone else encountered this and found a way to downgrade successfully?

Thank you!

[ N900W8 with KK ]Google Now Launcher works nicely if your ROOTED topic

Root privileges give you the power to break you device use at your own risk.

Just wondered if any one else discovered this yet?
I upgraded to KitKat (thanks Polish_Pat) Knox 0x0 rooted and recovery
Was annoyed that we didn't get any of the KitKat goodies so have started to get it sorted they way I would like it. Love android!!
First up (and easy)
KitKat Google Now Launcher and its two dependent files
(Ok Google works for me as well as swiping left for Google Now ).
-------------------
Down load this zip

Once you have it to your phone use a file browser with ROOT privlages ( I use pro version of Root explorer) navigate to where ever you saved the file and un zip it. Root Explorer does this and will ask if you wish to navigate to the unzipped folder, do so now.

1) Install GoogleHome.apk (if you haven't already you will be prompted to allow the install of UNKNOWN sources)
2) Copy PrebuiltGmsCore.apk to SYSTEM/APP/ changed permission to rw-r-r-
3) Copy Velvet.apk to SYSTEM/APP/ changed permission to rw-r-r-
4) Reboot

again root explore will do all of this. With a long press on the file it will give you options to choose from. Select permissions and uncheck or check what ever you wish to set any permission. For this particular task you will want to UNCHECK group write and others write this will set you as rw-r-r
click OK.
Do this for both files listed above and then reboot.
-------------------

Now I want to try getting the KitKat Dialer to work but I suspect that won't be so easy.

N900, N900T , N900A , N900W8 supported frequencies. topic

any of you guys know the differences in supported frequencies on note 3 variants?
(so far i found: N9005, N900, N900T , N900A , N900W8)

I am going to use this phone in Canada, but i am planning to travel to S.Korea in next few weeks so i want to get the note that supports frequencies offered by both countries.

Canada Bell's LTE frequency is band 4 (1700/2100 possibly 2600) aws, and
KT/SK telecom in korea uses 900/1800 or 850/1800.

[Q] N900W8 Rogers Stock Firmware topic

Hey guys,

Does anyone know of any alternative way to download the stock firmware for the N900W8 on Rogers. I have tried Sammobile and samsung-updates they both use terafile and rapidgator, neither of which are able to download the file. The download reports that it's going to take a few days and then a network error failure every single time. I searched on here and found http://fus.nanzen.se/ which doesn't load and http://note.cfa.aero/ which just gives me a plain black page. I've tried so many sites and it's getting to be quite frustrating. Would any of you have a copy that I could download or know of another site I could try?

Thank you so much for your help.

[Q] HELP - After 4.4.2 (n900w8) SIM Card services dont work topic

I installed the new 4.4.2 update from mexico using a canadian CSC in odin on my note 3 Canadian model. But now I cannot access any SIM services or networks, when i try to make phone calls I get the popup "Please insert a sim card". Does anyone have any advice?

I tried to downgrade but I got the check fail: fused 2 binary: 1 error.

Do I have to go to Bell Mobility and ask for a new SIM card?
