Yes, I've gone through many pages in this website before posting this question :cool:.

(1) I'm using Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S (2.3.4 // 4.0.2.A.0.62). Let us say this configuration "State A".

(2) I wish only to root it. I don't wish to unlock bootloader. I don't wish to change my current OS version. Is this possible?

(3) Let answer to above question is "yes", and I root the phone successfully to, say, "State B". Then would it be possible, by some means, to bring the phone again in "State A"?

i downloaded snapcapture and titanium backup apks online.i then tried to install the apps using solid explorer but then an error shows saying that app not installed. please help.

Query before unlocing bootloader topic

what is the difference between rom & kernel flashing ? Are they interdependent (eg flashing a custom rom requires custom kernel beforehand or vice versa) ? what difference do they make by flasing custom rom & kernel ? Do they depend on odexed or deodexed rom ?

Flashing kernel requires cwm/ flashtool with unlocked bootloader.Do flashing rom also requires same ?

I need to clarify these things befre flashing rom * kernel.Also which is the best one till date for custom rm & kernel?

XL C2104, 15.3.A.1.14, Odexed stock rom with locked bootloader & full root.

(Query) Casio G'zOne CA-201L topic

So it's actually a Korean phone. I'm currently residing in the Philippines.

I bought it from some guy here and all the network services are fine like calling, texting and data.

Problem though is that contacts are shutting on me and my signal bars are showing nothing all the time even if I can make a call. There are other issues with it too. Like on start up still says that I cannot use the card even if I can and the gzone app like the gzworld is not locating my gps and is still based on Korea. And there's this app Tan Tien and it's like the Vietnamese version of go sms and it won't let me update it. Says something about an error.

Anything I could do on it? Already has custom rom but it's like Vietnamese or sumthing and I can't understand it.

I already read threads about this phone but most of it is confusing and I just wanna start fresh on it. Here's the current build on my phone. I'm a newbie in roms and all that.
