Gmail App with format option topic

Hi everyone,

I opened a website on my Nexus 5 today, selected everything (select all) and then sent it to my work email. I was expecting text only to arrive on my work Outlook however to my pleasant surprised email contained full formatting (as far as I can tell) including pictures between paragraphs.

That means Gmail app supports (send and receive) formatting (i.e. Bold, Italic, font, font size, etc). Don’t think this is any type of phone dependency.

My questing and request is, would it be possible for someone to modify Gmail app and add formatting option?

If I knew anything about developing I would have done this myself, unfortunately I don’t.

Thank you,

Sent from my Nexus 5 using xda app-developers app

[Q] CWM crashes when trying to format /data topic

Hi,

this is my first post and I'm very sorry if it's a repeat, but I've searched all over and cannot seem to find anyone with my issue (which I find very hard to believe).

I'm trying to install a custom recovery (which I've done successfully before) using Odin. trying to use Philz Touch, cause it looks awesome, but now, I'm just trying to get anything to work.

The issue is I CANNOT format my /data partition. every time I try, it crashes. I have NO idea why. it can format anything else, I can mount/unmount /data, I just can't format it. cwm freezes and quickly crashes.

The particularly annoying thing is that this happened the last time I installed CWM too, but updating to the most recent version solved that. This time, I'm trying for the most recent version right away and nothing's happening. ALSO, today, I installed PhilzTouch and it WORKED!! so I installed my custom rom (Carbon) and went to reboot. This got stuck at the boot screen, and never loaded, so I booted back into recovery and whadayaknow, I can no longer format /data.......... I have no idea what is going on. I've followed all the instructions to the letter.

I'm on d2spr (sprint galaxy s3), trying to install cwm 6.0.4.5 (or philz 6.15.4) so that I can install CarbonROM v1.8 (which I also cannot get to work. I've happily been on SlimBEAN and then SlimKat for a while and wanted to try Carbon for the extra features).

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. (also, I can't restore a backup because that includes writing to /data, which I can't do. I can get halfway through the backup so that I end up with a clean slimKat (which I don't really want, cause I have a lot of data), but that's it. CWM reboots the second it tries to write /data.

No access to internal memory. Problem during format topic

I basically have no internal memory anymore. I was formatting it through my pc, and then it froze when I opened an app. When I forced reboot it, I had no access to the internal memory, and if I try to format it through the phone it goes into it for a while and then reboots on its own. My computer doesn't detect it and TWRP says the wipe failed. Suggestions? I am really worried. Luckely I still have access to external SD.

Thank you.

Recovered lost data files, trying to get the Texts into a readable format topic

So I followed the guide on the sticky here on the forum for recovering lost data. Everything worked out great, and I now have a load of recovered data in a folder on my desktop.

My goal here is to recover some text messages from August of 2013. Some of the pictures that I saw on there are from before then, so I'm hoping there's a chance it's not overwritten.

My problem:
I have a ton of files on here that have weird extensions, I can't open them, and I'm not really even sure what to look for to get to these text messages, or get them into a readable format. Any help here is appreciated!

[Q] SD Card very weird behavior - unable to format or delete topic

I have an extremely weird SD Card behavior with my Note 2:
  • After deleting files and rebooting, the files reappear.

  • I can't format the SD Card using the Android OS - it goes black screen and requires me to pull out the battery in order to start the device.

  • I removed the SD Card and attached it to my laptop's SD Card slot and tried formatting using Windows 7- the format process completed after ~30-40 minutes, yet the SD Card appeared UNCHANGED!:mad::mad:

  • I used multiple SD Card formatting tools, still no dice - they either complain about write protection, that they can't start, they start and stop halfway with an error, you name it.

It's like the SD Card has built in protection that keeps the files in it in stasis form, never ever witnessed such a behavior in any storage device. What gives?

Any help, preferably from people who may have encountered a similar behavior, will be greatly appreciated!
