[Solved] Can't click (install) on APK, then found the reason topic

This is an old problem, but the causes are so plenty it's a doozy. So here's yet ANOTHER cause of "can't click (Install)" button and its solution.

Any way, just updated to SlimKat. And no, I did NOT have official JB installed before, just official ICS, Safestrap, and had been running on CM10 ever since. But that's not the important issue.

Tried to reinstall some APKs, like Amazon store, some Xposed modules... Except none of them will let me click the INSTALL. And yes, 3rd party apps install is active, and I even turned off verify apps.

All of the previous advice I can find says look for screen filter or brightness apps or overlay buttons. I checked. Ain't got any that's active.

I was using PermissionDog to check anything that uses an overlay and uninstall them one by one, when something hit me (not literally). All of these are overlays of some sort. What overlay did I add recently? Then I looked at my screen, then slapped my forehead... hard.

I had enabled "battery bar" that comes with BatteryMix. This optional bar shows you a horizontal 2 px high bar on the very top that shows you your battery level. That is an overlay!

I turned that off, and voila, I can install APKs again. So let that be a lesson to you. :)

Calendar widget with a click topic

I'm looking for a calendar widget that also displays a clock on top of the widget for my lock screen. I thought that dash clock might have what I need but it doesn't show the enemy's unless I pull down and I want it displayed like simple calendar instead. Any suggestion? Or maybe there is a way for rooted users to apply more than one widget per window tile?
Thanks.

=]| root C5502 with 10.3.1.A.0.244 with 1 click |[= topic

Hi, searching the forums I found this thread.

the tool in the thread for the bug 9950697 worked and now I have my xperia rooted in 4.2.2 with 10.3.1.A.0.244 also in the thread seeing similar devices there is a possibility that 10.3.1.A.2.67 can be rooted too, but haven't test it (still in 4.2.2) so if you are looking for a way to root easy without having to go without downgrade. this is your lucky time.

don't forget to say thanks to the user that posted that thread and the tool dev.

[Q] click is not installable topic

I'm not sure if this is the best place for this, but...

I'm trying to install Ubuntu Touch on my tablet, but i cant even get the desktop-side tools installed. xD

I just installed the latest Ubuntu LTS on my laptop (12.04). I added the ppas needed in the installation manual. Did an apt-get update. Then went to install some packages when

Code:

$ sudo apt-get install phablet-tools android-tools-adb android-tools-fastboot
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
phablet-tools : Depends: click but it is not installable
                Recommends: imagemagick
Recommends: ubuntu-dev-tools but it is not going to be installed
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

Ive never had an "installable" error before, and after some brief searching, all ive gotten is some vague advice like "well the developer has marked it as not installable for some reason" or "maybe a dependency has had a name change". I dont really know anything about this package, why its necessary, and what to do about this error.
