any tips for using Kindle for long usage? topic

I'm traveling for about 8-10 hours , I'm just wondering what's the best way to buy time without draining the battery on my kindle fire ?
obviously watching movies or playing games eats up a lot , does reading ebooks and comics saves a lot more ?
