[Q] My laptop won't detect my Samsung galaxy note 3 topic

My laptop wont detect my Note 3. i uninstalled drivers and kies and re-installed still wont detect my phone. i am using windows 7 ultimate. when i plug my phone in, it starts charging the phone but wont give me that notification of connected on the notification panel. when i pull down the notification menu, it doesn't show anything. please anyone help.:( thanks.
