[Q] Relock Bootloader for GPE Motorola G? topic

I have the Google Play Edition of the Motorola G and was able to easily unlock the bootloader using the "fastboot oem unlock" command. Due to some unrelated hardware isues, I need to send the device back to Google for a refund but would like to relock the bootloader first. I tried simply issuing a "fasboot oem lock" command but that fails. I also tried issing a "fastboot oem lock begin" command but then it says its ready to flash an image which I don't want to do (and I don't have any images to flash either). I tried searching but everything here seems to be for the Motorola-issued for the version of the G (not the GPE). Any help or advice for how to relock the bootloader in the GPE is greatly appreciated. Thanks (and sorry if this is the wrong forum for posting this request)!
