Root ATT Phone topic

Hello guys,
I have an Moto X Form ATT and i cant unlock the Bootloader.
I have read many threads and i am a little bit confused which one i have to choose.
Is the thread from "Jcas" SlapyMoto at the moment the only way to root.
Thanks for your help or do you have other ways to root?
