Screen not turning on after phonecalls... topic

My phone has been temperamental lately. Sometimes when there is not enough light in the room, the screen will immediately turn off (I am aware that is supposed to be a feature to combat a false "knock on" while in your pocket - but this is far worse than that. even in dim light). I can also replicate a problem of having my screen NEVER turn back on. All I have to do is make a call, or call voicemail and its like the phone just locks up. cant do anything but hold power for 10 seconds. Ive booted into safemode to no avail.

Only thing left to do is factory reset... but im starting to think its physical issue caused by me dropping it :(

has anyone had similar problems?
