Aokp beats topic

Here is a preview of a port of AOKP 4.4.2 filled with audiophile goodness. Should be uploaded in a day or 2. I haven't found any bugs as yet. This is a port and not built from source.

Thanks to the AOKP team, Viper, Acid, Awesome Beats and everyone who has built audio goodness that I have incorporated into this. If I haven't mentioned your name let me know and I'm happy to credit you.

Also added Cybershot and Motion shot Camera. See screenshot.

[Q] Problem with 4.4 aokp rom topic

Hi, I'm new too this site, but do have a little experience flashing custom ROMs. I recently purchased a note ii from T-Mobile, and ended up flashing the AOKP 4.4 ROM, I believe it is under original android development. The majority of the ROM works perfect, but I'm having a problem with audio. Every time I use Google now, and have headphones plugged in, the audio will quit working for music after word and I have to reboot the phone to fix it. I'm not sure if anyone has experienced anything like this? Thanks for any help in advance!

[Q] Text messages not sending - AOKP 4.4.2 Rom topic

I've seen a couple of threads that make a separate reference to this issue, but none that express the same issue I am having. I am currently running PacRom 4.4.2 but I was also having this issue on PacRom 4.3 (December nightly). Basically, text messages are hanging on "SENDING..." and then after a couple minutes I get an error that the message was not sent. Typically the first text I send during the day goes through fine, but then when I try and send another text it hangs. If I wait awhile and try sending a text later, it often goes through, but anything immediately after that hangs on sending... Needless to say, this has gotten rather frustrating. Even now I had a text go through after not using my phone for a while, and the next 5 attempts to send another text to the same person have failed to send.

I posted this issue in the PacRom thread and did not receive any response, although someone stated they were having the exact same issue on their CM Rom. That user made reference to Voice+ possibly causing a background issue. I do not use Google Voice (use standard SMS app), but I did try freezing Voice+ in Titanium Backup, which did not make a difference. My software is as follows:

Android Version: 4.4.2
Baseband version: I605VRUEMJ9
Kernel version: 3.0.64-CM-gb1c5069 build@christopher-Aspire #1
PAC version: 4.4.Alpha-1
AOKP version: i605_kitkat
CyanogenMod version: 11-20140303-UNOFFICIAL-i605
ParanoidAndroid version: 4.0

Is anyone else having a similar problem, or has anyone discovered the underlying cause/solution to this issue?

Thanks for taking the time to read this and thanks in advance for responding.

[ROM][NEO/NEO V] AOKP 4.4.2 -- The Pure AOSP experience with added Goodies-- topic

What is AOKP ?

AOKP stands for Android Open Kang Project. It is a custom ROM distribution for several high-end Android devices. The name is a play on the word kang and AOSP (Android Open Source Project). The name was sort of a joke, but it just stuck, just like our infatuation with unicorns.

We fork the source code of Android that Google puts out in the open with every major version release, and we then add the magical unicorn bytes (read: we add some of the coolest features that are both useful and make your ROM awesome).

With AOKP, you can generally do a lot more with your device than what you could do with the original firmware that came installed on it.

Why AOKP ?

We were waiting for when you’d ask this.

There are a variety of reasons why a hilly billy Android user, on a bright sunny day, would suddenly start using AOKP and loving it.

For one, AOKP is lightweight. Most OEMs provide a heavy UI layer over Android and have loads of bloatware (i.e. apps that not everyone use every day, but you cannot remove because they’re “baked in” by default). Since AOKP is built upon vanilla Android source, it has neither of the above.

Also AOKP has features that you will not find on your stock firmware. You can have a multitude of toggles to quickly flip a lot of your phone’s settings right at your fingertips, or you can launch apps quickly from any screen using our Ribbons.

You can change almost each and every aspect of the OS, from its looks to the way it functions, with total freedom. And did we tell you, AOKP helps you make tacos?

NOTE:
Actually AOKP is only starting with an AOSP with some extra features.
Usual features are coming soon...

[Touch Recovery] [CWM] [KERNEL] AOKP 4.4.2 topic

Hello, here is the kernel & recovery of my favourite for AOKP 4.4.2 ROM (Other ROM I didn't test but you may try).

Fyi, I am running AOKP ROM on my ZR but I dislike the recovery that came with it as it doesn't respond to touch. And I found that Beanstalk ROM is using the recovery with touch support.
Together with the emerge of MEOW kernel, I figure out that I can use the script to flash the kernel & recovery that I want through recovery instead of using flashtool (in case of no access to computer).
Basically this (the kernel & touch recovery) wasn't my work. All I did was just decompile and pulled the files (touch recovery from Beanstalk ROM & kernel from AOKP ROM & installer script from MEOW kernel flashable zip).
So all the credits go to respective developers. I am here just to share the MOD as I haven't found much flashable zip for kernel and recovery.

Thanks them here:

AOKP ROM thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2559339
MEOW Kernel thread (temporary, the developer is jeroenqui): http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2621532

So here's the zip for you guys:

[Q] How to remove aokp knightly kitkat and restoring original rom topic

I flashed a custom ROM on a c-spire Samsung Galaxy S4 SCH-R970X

The parameters look like this

Android Version - 4.4.2

Baseband Version - Unknown

Kernel Version
3.4.0-aokp-g13b9152
sethyx@rainbow #1
Thu Jan 9 08:27:31 CET 2014

AOKP version
aokp_jfltecsp_kitkat_nightly_2014-01-09

Build Date
Thu Jan 9 08:13:39 CET 2014

Build Number
aokp_jfltecsp-userdebug 4.4.2 KOT49H
eng.sethyx.20140109.081306 test-keys

SELinux Status
Enforcing

I want to remove the aokp kitkat rom but I dont know how. each time I try to flash the original rom using ODIN I always end up with a failure bootloop and I would then have to re-flash the recovery. I discovered some thing in the settings menu and I'm wondering whether or not it is the reason for my not being able to restore the original rom Attachment 2537536
