sending text to email? topic

hi, i have a us cellular gs3 (no section for us cellular gs3) running aokp_dcusc_jb-mr2_milestone-2 and i'm having trouble sending texts to an email, i've never had this problem in the past with any phone or any other rom on this phone. what its doing is trying to send it as a mms instead of a text. i'm not sending a pic just a few words. i'm using the default message app "com.android.mms version 4.3.1-eng.sethyx.20131218.013055". i've tried other messaging apps and they're all doing the same thing. i'm on page plus and my data is in and out so i have my data turn off all the time, even still i've been able to sent texts to an email without data as a text not a sms. any help (besides suggesting to switch roms) would be greatly appreciated.

I have a VZW GS3 and no matter what kit kat rom that I try to upgrade to from JB 4.3 I have the same problem with my texting app.
I can receive multiple text messages but I can only respond once to them. When I try to respond to the same message twice or to another message for the 1st time I get the error message that my message has not been sent. It doesn't matter what 4.4 rom I try I get the same error. However if I activate airplane mode and then de-activate it I am able to send ONE reply to ONE message. If i want to reply to any other messages I have to either reboot the phone or do the airplane mode routine that I just described. It is not a problem on any rom below 4.4. In fact I've had to go back to using a 4.3 rom so i can use my text messaging. I doesn't matter whether I use a stock messaging app or a third part app it even has the same problem when I use Google Hangouts. It doesn't affect my email and every other program in 4.4 works correctly.
Is this a radio problem. Why does it temporarily fix the problem by doing the airplane mode routine. Has anyone ever heard of this problem before,
My baseband Version is I535VRBMF1. Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

HTC RUU Stuck on Sending... topic

Hi,

I'm trying to update my HTC Desire S to the official Android 4.0 (HTCDev). When I'm trying to install it through RUU, it won't go past the 'Sending' part. My phone shows the grey HTC logo but that's it.

I tried 2 different PC's, different USB-ports... I installed all drivers (installed HTC Sync) but it's still not working.

[Q] Messaging sending too many texts topic

I have an Xperia S with latest FW 4.1.2, 6.2.B.1.96 and I have problem in sending a text to a group. Whenever I send texts to a group, a message pops up saying " Messaging is sending too many Text" and asks to allow or deny. I`m really offended by this problem. I googled this problem but i`ve been unfortunate to find a successful solution. I dont want to install any other messaging app. I dont know how to remove this limit. I would really be grateful if someone can help me solve this problem.I tried to find setting message limit in settings (both general settings and Messaging settings) but couldnt find anything.

[Q] Verizon sending replacement topic

Because of a failed top mic, Verizon is sending me a replacement Note 2, which I'm sure will come with the OTA 4.3. I'm assuming this means I might as well get ready to live with stock. Is there anything I can do, other than just send the replacement back and live with my top mic not working?

[Q] Text messages not sending - AOKP 4.4.2 Rom topic

I've seen a couple of threads that make a separate reference to this issue, but none that express the same issue I am having. I am currently running PacRom 4.4.2 but I was also having this issue on PacRom 4.3 (December nightly). Basically, text messages are hanging on "SENDING..." and then after a couple minutes I get an error that the message was not sent. Typically the first text I send during the day goes through fine, but then when I try and send another text it hangs. If I wait awhile and try sending a text later, it often goes through, but anything immediately after that hangs on sending... Needless to say, this has gotten rather frustrating. Even now I had a text go through after not using my phone for a while, and the next 5 attempts to send another text to the same person have failed to send.

I posted this issue in the PacRom thread and did not receive any response, although someone stated they were having the exact same issue on their CM Rom. That user made reference to Voice+ possibly causing a background issue. I do not use Google Voice (use standard SMS app), but I did try freezing Voice+ in Titanium Backup, which did not make a difference. My software is as follows:

Sending message pop up. topic

Ok, so running the stock rom, Android 4.3.

Whenever I send a message with the stock messaging app, after I click send, a pop up comes up with 'sending message' which stays up until the message is sent in 3 or 4 seconds.

Is there a way to get rid of this pop up?

I'm currently using gosmspro, because when you click send message, the text goes into the conversation and it sends in the background, meaning you can send another message almost right away without waiting for the 'sending message' pop up to disappear.

Anyone else share my frustration?

Sending MMS without mobile data enabled? topic

This may have been been asked before and I'm sorry if it has. I did do a search (including google) and nothing came up. My issue is that I've noticed I have to manually enable mobile date before any MMS message will send. On my previous phone (HTC Rezound), my mobile data would automatically turn on to send the message, then turn itself back off. Is this common to this phone, or is there something weird going on with mine? Any ideas?

[Q] (Q)UDP Flooding, packet sending, etc topic

Hello,
I'm using anflood and net swiss tools to spam udp packets to my network, but they never actually reach the network. I do not see them in the logs of my router, nor the "warnings" that it gives when under attack. I am using CM 11 on a sgh i747m (canadian) and im wondering if its a firmware/hardware issue. Because it runs just fine on my lg o3d (older model) which is strange. because i thought it was the router security but turns out the phone is not sending any packets whatsoever.
