Moto G CM11 Based Roms Messages Not Sent? topic

Hey guys,

I'm having a problem with my Moto G. It keeps telling me message not sent (every maybe 15-20 text messages it adds 1 message not sent) but when I check my messaging app no message has an error sending. Is this a CM specific bug or something? I feel like some of my messages are not going through but I don't know which ones.

After updating from 4.3 to 4.4.2 using a method (I'll post a link when I get home) that basically required me to flash over t mobile n9005 firmware onto my phone (I use Rogers n900w8 canadian)
My phone is rooted and I've searched high and low for a solution but to no avail
I can provide any more information if needed

The problem is that I can send mms messages but I can't receive them

I've changed the apn several times according to sever guides most of which are right on the Rogers website
THIS IS NOT AN APN ISSUE
because I can still send them no problem
If it was an app issue I would get a message saying that the message was unable to send

How can I recover deleted text messages, contacts from Samsung Galaxy s4? topic

Hi All, Am new this forum and in desperate need of some advice/help.

I have had my Samsung Galaxy s4 for a few months and had about 400 text messages and contacts stored on it. A few nights ago my darling baby boy who is all of 2 managed to successfully delete every last one of my photos and videos, but he deleted some important messages and contacts.

First of all I am just kicking myself for letting him play with my phone and secondly I am kicking myself for not backing them up on my computer.

Has anyone else lost messages, contacts and been able to recover them?

How can I get rid of Messages on Lockscreen in KK ? topic

Touch wizard has a privacy nightmare of having text messages show up on the lockscreen.
Unfortunately turning them off in settings only turns it into the words "new message" it also makes the notification bar do the same when phone is unlocked.
I used to use an app called lockscreen policy but it no longer works in kitkat.
Are there any other ways or Xposed modules that will fix this ?

[Q] Text messages not sending - AOKP 4.4.2 Rom topic

I've seen a couple of threads that make a separate reference to this issue, but none that express the same issue I am having. I am currently running PacRom 4.4.2 but I was also having this issue on PacRom 4.3 (December nightly). Basically, text messages are hanging on "SENDING..." and then after a couple minutes I get an error that the message was not sent. Typically the first text I send during the day goes through fine, but then when I try and send another text it hangs. If I wait awhile and try sending a text later, it often goes through, but anything immediately after that hangs on sending... Needless to say, this has gotten rather frustrating. Even now I had a text go through after not using my phone for a while, and the next 5 attempts to send another text to the same person have failed to send.

I posted this issue in the PacRom thread and did not receive any response, although someone stated they were having the exact same issue on their CM Rom. That user made reference to Voice+ possibly causing a background issue. I do not use Google Voice (use standard SMS app), but I did try freezing Voice+ in Titanium Backup, which did not make a difference. My software is as follows:

i have recently bought LG G2-D802 and i want to transfer my contacts and messages like smart switch does , can anybody help me how can i do that. That`s because i was using S3 than i switched to S4 now to G2 and i found smart switch quiet an handy tool to transfer my contacts and messages.

Sms messages being spit on receiving end topic

Pardon my lack of formatting as I am posting from my device.

I have a nexus 5 (running latest PA nightly) and my girlfriend has a moto x (running stock). We both use the pay version of go sms pro.the issue is that my messages are being split on her end. When her other friends message her the messages come through whole, but my messages to her and hers to me, all come through in chunks. Both of us have checked our go sms settings but can't figure this out.

Any help would be great

Whatsapp voice messages topic

Hi guys,

I have been having issue on receiving my voice messages through speaker. However when I click the play button, the screen went blank (black) but just the back button to the conversation. The volumn of the message was so soft that I couldn't hear it. However, when I plugged in the headset, the message was played normally without screen went blank and everything. I hope someone can help me in this matter. Thanks.

[Q] Text messages sometimes do not send topic

Hi guys. I am having problems sending text messages sometimes. 9/10 texts I send go through just fine but occasionally when I send a text it will just flash the sending logo on and on. I do not get an error message it just does not send. I thought it may be an issue with the ROM but I did a factory reset and tried three different ROMS and I am still having the same problem. I am currently running Cataclysm ROM with Franco Kernel R32. Any idea what my problem could be? Sprint is my carrier and my signal is fine when trying to send these messages. Is it possible it has something to do with my baseband/radio? I read somewhere that some people had problems with TWRP corrupting their baseband.

I'm stumped so any ideas would be appreciated. Right now when this happens I usually just restart the phone and it fixes it.

[Q] MMS messages wont download or upload on device topic

Alright geniuses out there. I'm stumped.
I have a note 3 Att originally but now on Straight talk.
I got the system working on the lte network using the apn setup provided on their website
I now sow LTE and get decent connection rate but when i send a picture text or get one it wont go through
when i try to send it will just give you a failure message .
when i try to get one i will get a download box but it wont download through the network or WIFI

now before you ask have searched to no avail, I have changed the proxy to 66.209.11.33 and 66.209.11.34
i have changed the apn to 216.155.165
but it just messed up the phone or took away the lte and was forced to put everything back to the straight talk setup

but i still cant get picture messages

[Q] Slow to receive messages on Wifi? topic

I bought 2 of these phones one for a friend and one for my mum. After noticing several times while messaging my friend on whatsapp that only 1 tick would appear usually for between 30 seconds to a minute or 2, i suspected there could be some issue going on with the wifi. After testing my mothers phone I can confirm there is an intermittent problem where the phone doesn't receive a notification as soon as it's sent. There's a lag anywhere between 30 seconds and a couple of minutes.

I've tested back and forth with a bunch of other phones on the same network and they suffer no issues at all, always instant notifications. I've also messed with every possible setting in the advanced Wifi options, done restarts, tried different channel for my router etc, the lag is there at least 50% of the time.

I should point out this lag is only there when the phones screen is off and in sleep mode. Once the power button is pressed to wake all delayed messages are instantly received. I've also tested and get the same problem with hangouts so it's not a whatsapp issue. I also don't think it's a router issue as my other phones are perfect and my friend is in a different house with completely different router and has the exact thing happening.

Is this a known problem and if so is there any way to solve it? Is there an updated radio that can be downloaded and flashed to the phone without rooting, or do we just have to hope a future update will solve this small but annoying issue?
