[Q] Cannot wake phone sometimes after 4.4 update?? topic

Since the kit kat update on my note 3 (N9005) I have been experiencing problems with the phone failing to wake up from standby.
This sometimes happen a few times a day, or it could be a few days before it happens

Basically, it would work normally, and occasionally when I either open the s view or try to press the power/home button to turn the screen on, the screen would remain black and nothing happens. If I hold the power button the reset the phone it then normally works for a while but the same problem would come back after a period of time.

I have never experienced this with 4.3 so I suspect this must be a software problem.
I haven't rooted or tripped know btw.

Has anyone also had this problem?

PS: has any of yous also had the problem with the music player crashing and then refusing to play music until after a reboot?

Camera sometimes doesn't work topic

I'm on franco kernel r33 and stock rom. Sometimes the camera doesn't work, it says it "can't connect to device" or something like that. I don't know what's going on and I have to reboot to make it work. Here's the log. Thanks in advance.

Top of the touch screen not responding sometimes topic

Hi, I have the phone for a month now, its 4 months old. This problem is on since I bought it.

When I try to slide notifications roll-down panel from the top, it is sometimes almost impossible to do. When I do it with whole thumb, it goes down normally, but when I try with other smaller fingers, it wont respond. Also in chrome, I have problems editing www address bar, because it just wont respond to touch. It responds immediately when the phone is in vertical position and I tap there with my thumb.

Since rest of the screen works fine and that particular area works well in certain conditions, I am wondering, if there is some kind of calibration app or setting for digitizer. Phone has not been dropped down, nor it has scratches or anything on display. I have screen protector and so I assume it can be somehow related to it. I have almost simillar issue with old HTC Touch Pro years back, but there was an option to calibrate touch screen with stylus. So I am just wondering, if someone can advise something to do. I really dont feel like waiting 30 days solving it by dealer.

Nexus 7 responds way better on the edges than my One. Also, bottom edge and sides are working fine.

[Q] Text messages sometimes do not send topic

Hi guys. I am having problems sending text messages sometimes. 9/10 texts I send go through just fine but occasionally when I send a text it will just flash the sending logo on and on. I do not get an error message it just does not send. I thought it may be an issue with the ROM but I did a factory reset and tried three different ROMS and I am still having the same problem. I am currently running Cataclysm ROM with Franco Kernel R32. Any idea what my problem could be? Sprint is my carrier and my signal is fine when trying to send these messages. Is it possible it has something to do with my baseband/radio? I read somewhere that some people had problems with TWRP corrupting their baseband.

I'm stumped so any ideas would be appreciated. Right now when this happens I usually just restart the phone and it fixes it.

[Q] Wildfire S screen sometimes refuses to turn on (Standard ROM) topic

Hi guys I wonder if you can help me. My friend broke his Wildfire S screen and asked me if I could fix it. I got a new glass / digitiser from eBay and replaced the screen. All look fine to me so I took it back to him.

It seems since replacing the screen the phone sometimes refuses to wake up when clicking the lock button, or when an inbound call arrives. The phone rings but there is no sign of life other than the ringing noise. If you then plug in the charger the screen will turn on and you can use the phone as normal. I've tried a factory reset on it but nothing seems to help.

I haven't replaced the LCD just the glass/digitiser, and can't think of a reason in doing so would break other functions of the phone. Can anyone help or suggest what might be the problem here? I'm a competent repairer and have replaced the screens on many Laptops, iPhone's and iPad's but this is my first encounter with a HTC.
