CM11 and tasker topic

I think I'm being stupid in this one but iysbdriving me mad!

I'm running CyanogenMod 11 and using tasker beta 4.3b11 and the sound /silent mode doesn't seem to function correctly. Or so it seems?

When I have a task to change the silent mode the ringer and notification volumes are adjusted as I'd expect...too no sound and vibrate on.
However the symbol that is shown in the pull down quick settings is that of silent mode, i.e the speaker with a line through it.
But according to the pop up volume panel it is set to vibrate or to sound on
Am I being daft and missing something?

Tasker: wifi connected? topic

Hi all,

I just begin using Tasker. My first profile is to, after bootup, wait 4 minutes then run app A, this one works fine. But I have trouble with my second profile:
it will run app B when wifi connected(no specific SSID or MAC,etc.), and as an Exit task, kill that app with taskkill plugin, if wifi disconnected. The problem is: if I MANUALLY switch ON and OFF wifi, it works fine, but it does not run that app after bootup (I installed SmartWifiToggler app which will automatically turn on wifi and connect.).

Any idea?

Is it possible to toggle Active Display on/off with Tasker?
If it is possible it is probably through an Intent call but I'm not sure how to find out if it exists or not.

Tasker profile to change input to Swiftkey on reboot topic

Hi,
I use SwiftKey ($) as my standard keyboard on the S3 since the built in keyboard mostly stinks. But the one problem is the input method reverts to the Samsung keyboard when the device reboots. I searched around & couldn't find exactly what I was after, so thought I'd post my solution here to pay it forward. :angel:

Requirements:
Rooted phone (using SuperSU free)
Tasker ($)
Secure Settings (free)
Busybox (free)

Process:
0. before starting, install Secure Settings, go to system+ tab, click to enable. It will help you get busybox if not installed. Once installed, again go to system+ tab and get it Enabled.
1. create a tasker "Event" profile
2. Event type is System>Device Boot. There are no options here, tap to go back
3. New task, give it a name ("Change Input Method" is good)
4. + to create an action, then Task>Wait. I put 40 seconds here. This is the delay after reboot before tasker goes & changes the method. It takes a while for my phone to be ready to roll after a reboot. YMMV. Tap top left to go back.
5. Now + to add another action and select plugin
6. Secure Settings, pencil to modify configuration
7. System+ Actions>Input Method, tap to select the input method (Swiftkey for me but this could be anything you want).
8. Click the save icon.

That's it. Try rebooting and see if the input method is changed to Swiftkey after the reboot. Works for me! Enjoy! :laugh:

Zooper and tasker topic

This one is driving me nuts!
I have set up a tasker task bluetooth set to toggle.
This task is then called by zooper to turn on and off bluetooth. Which works.
But what I'd like is for the widget to tell me if bluetooth is on or off.
So I place a text item unto my zooper widget and use the filling ad the text content.
$#TBLUE#=on?Blue$”
But it returns nothing at all.
Can anyone help?

Tasker App topic

After watching a bunch of tutorial videos about Tasker, I bought the app. But unfortunately I'm finding out that there's things I wanted to do that I cant. I think it has something to do with Active Notifications. For instance, I created a profile to skip to the next song (Play Music) when a variable is true (car mode) by shaking the device. The profile works great when the screen is on, but doesn't seem to work once the screen shuts off, like active notifications are blocking it or something. I was kinda hoping that I'd have a little more control, but I think that's because of the app itself and not the device. Anyone have any input or tips from experience?

Tasker question - how can I turn on Bluetooth when WiFi goes off topic

So I've been trying to set tasker to turn on my Bluetooth when I get out of range from my homes WiFi signal.

Problem is I have no idea how to set tasked to do that.

Has anyone done this and possibly shoot me some info.

Hi Friends, Is there anyway to toggle the SwipetoWake feature of kernel using tasker or any other automation apps. I need this feature to disable those kernel features during night. Right now using Hells doctor kernel(http://forum.frandroid.com/topic/168...lls-doctor-r12) and SlimKat.
