[Q] Active Notification Delay? topic

Anyone else experience a 2-3 second delay after unlocking their phone with active display unlock? It just started about a week or so ago. Not all the time, but maybe a handful of times a day and only if I'm unlocking to the homescreen- not if I'm unlocking straight to a notification. Enough to be annoying. Seems very random, but almost always happens after I haven't touched the phone in awhile (which makes testing things a PITA).

I even went so far to rsd back to stock, then reroot w/SMM, then have tried slowly adding apps back in. To see if I could pinpoint. Think I'd have the app figured out, uninstall it, then it'll happen again. On 4.4, Using nova launcher with cobalt icon pack.

Pandora Now Playing on Active Display topic

Saw a thread about this on reddit and took a stab at it.

Curious if there is anyone with root that does not have Tasker installed that would want to test it for me? It works on my Moto X, but I have Tasker.

The app fires a notification with the current song playing on Pandora so it can be seen on Active Display. It's still in the early stages, so it's not perfect.

If you're interested in trying it for me, here's a link. The only requirements are having root, using Pandora, and having a Moto X, obviously :P

It will ask for root the first time it tries to run, and it updates every two minutes. Once I can tell that it's working on other devices, I can decrease the refresh time in an effort to be more accurate.

Note: It will ask for root the first time it runs, so you might want to keep your screen on for a few minutes until you see the root request. After that it will just fire the notification.

I've been using this app. It's clean, minimalistic and most of all aesthetically pleasing compared to Active Notifications and Omni's implemetation IMO. In addition, it doesn't eat up much battery. It's still alpha and pretty much barebones at the moment but the developer is nice and he listens. He showed a preview of what's to come in future updates and it's awesome. Sign up at his G+ community page and give it a try.

If it is possible it is probably through an Intent call but I'm not sure how to find out if it exists or not.

Keep cellular data active when connected to WiFi topic

So I can't seem to find anything that answers this anywhere.

I have some remembered WiFi networks which are open but require me to hit OK on the login page once I connect in order to use the internet. If my phone is in my pocket it will connect to these networks but not be able to access the internet until I go through the login procedure.

I notice though that my phone drops the cellular data connection as soon as it connects to the network giving me a large amount of time with no data at all. I have searched high and low for the setting that will keep cellular data permanently active but I cannot find it. When I look in settings I see:

Mobile data
Use my data plan when Wi-Fi isn't available.

If I tap that I see no option to change anything that would always keep the data connection alive. I see only the following

Data roaming
Data roaming sound
Access point names
Network mode
Network operators

In Power I have Power saver switched Off and Sleep mode switched Off.

Does anyone know how I can enable this?

When i do active my mobile network,it drain battery like hell and phone warming and when i check battery from systam manager it says %60 screen..But i checked and tried many time it happens when i do active mobile network.

So I recently updated and rooted my T-Mobile Moto X to 4.4.2. Ever since, Touchless controls and active display would randomly activate themselve. In the case of active display, it would tell me what it is. So I got tired and I opened up Titanium Back up and uninstalled both apps. I reinstalled them again from the play store but the active display won't work anymore. It is enabled and I rebooted my device multiple times but nothing. Any help is highly appreciated. Thank you.

Something I haven't seen in my lurking through these forums or reviews online is whether you can change the colour for Active Notifications. For example,is it possible to make them red instead of white (mainly art night)?

As the subject stated, I have AT&T version of the Galaxy S4 Active. The phone is unlocked (code provided by AT&T) and now I have a T-Mobile SIM card.

I want to do Wi-Fi calling, but couldn't find any information in this forum or when Googling it.

Can anyone provide step-by-step information on this? Preferably, I don't want to install a custom ROM - I use stock ROM (rooted) and it has been stable so far.

S4 active microphone problem topic

Hello,

I have bought a S4 Active from new and ever since I have problems with the microphone near the charging slot. So, if I want to talk to anybody I have to put it on speaker so I can be heard. I have read couple threads but my problem still isn't fixed. I tried with a needle to sting/clean the small hole of the microphone but it made no differece. I searched for apps but found nothing.

Note: if i speak really close to the mic and really loud i can be heard normally.

Ps. I dont have a warranty to get another one instead.

em sorry i can't post this on the development thread...... being a noob and all .... so i just wanted to know if anyone else gets this bug or not ..... whenever i install google+ ...... it FCs at launch..... always..... as in ive reinstalled the rom and all..... the apps associated with google+ like photos and all run fine.... just google+ itself FCs...... sorry i dont know whether i should post this question or not cuz im new here and it'll take some time to get the rules and all....... :p ...... anywayz any help is appreciated! :D
