[Q] SlimSaber MOD ROM Notifications topic

hello, i cant post an question in DEV talk forum right now , maybe somebody can help me, im using SlimSaber for my n7000 and the question is, how can i enable SMS Message Notification that will be shown on Main Lock Screen like in standard android ? because whan i recieve message it just shows at the top of my screen. I Mean :

and when i recive sms even screen doesnt turn on (that i cant read text without unlocking the phone)

can somebody tell me what and how to change ?

[Q] KOT49H ROM - Google Play Edition - Lockscreen Notifications topic

Hello Everyone,

I was just wondering if anyone who uses this ROM - KOT49H knows if there is a way to get the notifications on the lock screen similar to Liquidsmooth (Which may or not be stock to something else I dont know)

Basically on the lock screen it would have a square icon on the right side of the screen for your music player, new emails, new texts ect and you could slide them out to see more or to unpause your music ect.

No notifications from Note III to Gear? topic

A few days ago my Gear was acting weird. I wanted to add a new notification through the Gear Manager application through my phone, but it started installing some apps when I opened the app. I let it install the apps, but for some reason it tells me to connect my Gear to my phone using NFC (like it hasn't been configured).

When I connect it through Bluetooth, it will connect without issues. However it says "Connected to phone audio" and the notification icon is gone.
I can receive calls but notifications doesn't appear.

Any idea why? :eek:

Hi all.

I got a Gear from my wife that she got with her S4 (She would never use it). Paired with my Note II (Stock, unrooted) but I'm not receiving any notifications on my Gear.


I've got the gear manager installed and can install apps, configure the device etc. I can make calls and receive calls through the gear but I'm not getting message, email etc notifications. I can view call logs if I go in to the call logs app.

On my device I'm using hangouts (with sms) and Google Gmail app. Notifications (and more notifications) are switched on in gear manager. I've enabled other notifications as well but these are the two most important for me

Software is all up to date. Note II is running 4.3. Both are stock, unrooted, unmodified etc etc

Am I missing something really obvious?

How to Get Notifications From Twitter? topic

I have been noticing this for a while now but I can't seem to receive notifications from the Twitter whether my tweet was retweeted, quoted, favorited, etc. Its crucial that I get notifications or else I wouldn't know who replied to certain tweets until I manually check.

In the app settings itself, I checked everything to where I receive notifications from mentions, favorites, retweets, etc and whenever I back out a toast message pops up saying "You can only attach 25 devices" and it unchecks everything that I checked in the notification settings. Thus, I can't receive notifications for some reason.

Im wondering if other S3 users are getting this same error or are able to get notifications in the statusbar? I'm running Carbon 3/03 nightly android 4.4.2

Hi all.

Anyone else not receiving push notifications from Facebook / Messenger on sleep (with or without Stamina Mode on)?
For messages, notifications only have a 100% received rate only when a chat head is popped out and the screen is on.

Also I'm trying to figure out whether it is a Facebook / Messenger bug and/or XZ / XZ related bug.

Problems with Push Notifications topic

Hi guys,

Since the day I bought the Moto G (XT1032 bought on Amazon UK) I have a problem with push notifications on Instant Messaging apps (like Hangouts and Facebook Messenger).
With Facebook Messenger (that is the IM I use most of the time), only 50% or 33,3% of the notifications arrive, when the Moto G is on WIFI, with the screen off and not conected to a charger.
And yes, I checked and the wifi is set to be always on, even with the screen off.

So, when someone send me messages on FB Messenger, I only receive 1 of 2, or 1 of 3 messages. Most of the time, I recive one and the other don't.

With Hangouts, the problem is just with the first message: It can take lot's of minutes to receive the message that starts the conversation. The others arrieve with no problem. But when I reboot the phone, the problem with the first message starts again.

In both apps, when the notification doesen't arrive, if I press the power button to turn the screen on, the notification arrive at that exact second (it's like its stuck in the phone, and the power button is like a trigger).
And, the stuck message will arrive too if I receive other messages (it can be from the same person), and the phone will vibrate twice (for the new message and for the stucked one)

I tried this on different routers, with different internet providers, I even tried with my Galaxy S as a hotspot, using my 3G Internet, but the problem is always there.
So 2 weeks ago, I unlocked my Moto G to install CyanogenMod, to see if the problem was from the Motorola firmware, but with the CyanogenMod Rom, the problem is still there.

So, this is why I'm starting this thread, to see if there is more people that can reproduce this problem, and to try to find a way to solve it.
If someone need logcats or other type of logs to try to find out whats happening, I will send them as soon as possible.

PS: This is my second Moto G (I asked for a replacement because of this bug), so, I think that this is not a hardware problem of my phone.

Please add option to disable Twitter Notifications. topic

I barely use Twitter as it is, but with Themer installed, every time I install a new theme for Themer I get a notification to "Show off your theme!".

Please give us an option to disable this. I share my Themer Themes by, get this, SHOWING my phone to folks in person. I share Themer with everyone I know with an Android phone as it is.

Just one minor annoyance that needs an option to remove.

Statusbar and notifications panel freezing? topic

Hi all

My status bar keeps freezing randomly (either when pulling down or that I can't at all) and I must restart SystemUI From XHFW to make it work again, although something borked the Restart SystemUI function

Can anybody help?

The notification panel and statusbar still functions normally, just that the graphics get stuck halfway (invisible layer of statusbar and notification panel)

Also, my Google Keyboard does that too, except the keyboard resizes to an extremely small size and moves to the top left corner of the keyboard area, but I still can type by pressing the original locations of the keys.

I have installed Desktop Notifications and Pushbullet. Both apps require me to enable them in the Notification Mirroring Service. To do that it always takes me wifi to switch the wifi on.
I don't have wifi, I have 3G. How do I enable the service without wifi?

I own a LG G2 with CM11 (latest nightly 01/29/2014)

When I'm on wifi i got a huge delay in push notifications, and, as soon as i turn my wifi off and mobile data on, I get all the notifications that wifi delayed.

I can get notifications even in wifi, but they can take up to 30 minutes to be delivered to me.

What is wrong in android? My iphone notifications work..

Something I haven't seen in my lurking through these forums or reviews online is whether you can change the colour for Active Notifications. For example,is it possible to make them red instead of white (mainly art night)?

[Q]- Remove specified notifications from statusbar topic

Hi all.

I had searched a lot to find a way to remove a specified notifications from an application when you pull down the status bar.
I tried to use the following xposed applications:

EnhancedToast and NotifyClean - Both of them remove the notification on screen only or remove all the notification.

I had attached a image to explain better, i want to use some applications ( internet speed meter as an example) only in status bar and i don't want to see the other notification when i pull down the bar.

[Q] [JB] New notifications on top? topic

Is it just me or does new notifications in Jellybean go on top in the notification bar? Meaning that new icons doesn't get placed in the back of the row but rather in the front. Is this something that can be adjusted? So that it is like it was on gingerbread.

I don't suppose there's a way to change notification positionso on the go?
