[Q] Need for a tutorial to enable Diag Mode and backup NV Data on AOSP Roms? topic

First of all, I am very new to this forum so I am sorry if this is the wrong place to ask. Thank you. :)
The Question I asked myself was, is there a way to restore your IMEI und NV Data on an Custom Rom like CyanogenMod where the *#0808# or other codes don't work. And the answer was in this threat http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...626638&page=11.
But for me it took 3 to 4h to fight myself through the wrong drivers, different settings and so on.
Plus because of EFS-Professional you can skip the first part and automatically change it into Diag-Mode.
Yes, I do not have a lot of experience but maybe sb with experience can write it. I think it would be nice to have a tutorial where it is explained step by step which would make the back ups of IMEI and NV Data a lot easier on Custom Roms. :)
I would like to talk about the idea and I am just putting it in the room. :)

[Q] Enable bluetooth tethering? topic

Hey guys,

Just got my phone rooted on 4.4.2 NB1 using SafeStrap and muniz' stock rooted NB1 rom (Thanks so much again if yours seeing this!)

One major reason why I wanted a rooted phone was for tethering privileges; while i have been able to circumvent at&t's wifi hotspot software, I do not have an option for bluetooth tethering. Is it even possible on our phones, and is there way to enable it?

First of all install Xposed framework and reboot then follow the given steps:-

Enable Multiple Users in KitKat 4.4 topic

I found this Xposed module that will enable multiple users in KitKat 4.4. I'm running it on my locked bootloader Moto X. Download MoDaCo Toolkit Xposed module and enable it then reboot, next open MoDaCo and scroll down to Google Nexus (All) and check Show users on power menu, exit app and reboot phone. After reboot go to settings and under apps you should see users tap on users and tap on add. You will have two choices secured or un-secured. After choosing which one you want just set it up the way you want. Switching between users is easy; just hold down power button and choose which user you want to use. I haven't tried any of the other modifications in the app.

Ok, following the lead of @crawrj, I have put together the Native HotSpot for the NAE update.

I flashed these using the newest philz recovery (6.15.4), but I think for these, the recovery you use doesn't really matter. Let me know if you have issues.

Not many of you are probably DeOdexed at this point, but both versions are available.

NANDROID backup first please !!! Just because they worked fine for me doesn't mean there might not be problems !!!

[Q] How to enable Desktop notifications without Wifi? topic

I have installed Desktop Notifications and Pushbullet. Both apps require me to enable them in the Notification Mirroring Service. To do that it always takes me wifi to switch the wifi on.
I don't have wifi, I have 3G. How do I enable the service without wifi?

Icon app to enable Extended Power Menu EPM topic

This is a how to guide on making an Icon shortcut to your Extended Power Menu or Standard Power Menu. You can also create thousands of other mods.

The first thing you need is the Tasker app. You can get it here: Google Play Store - Tasker No it is not free. But you can do all kind of mods with this App.

So lets get started:

After you install Tasker, click on the icon for the app and check that you have read and agree to their terms.

Then select the TASKS button. At the bottom of the screen you will select the + sign.



Here you will name your Task. I called mine "EPM", then select the check mark.



Once a new screen opens you will again select the + sign to add an action. You will then select "Script" then "Run Shell".



Here is where you will type this command on the Command line:

Then scroll down to "Use Root" and check the box. Now in the upper left hand corner select "Action Edit Run Shell"

Now in the lower left hand corner select the play icon to test your Shell Command. If all goes right your EPM or Power Menu should open. Just hit cancel on the EPM Menu and hit the soft back button a couple of times to exit out of Tasker.



Now go to the screen of your choice and long press to add a shortcut. (I am using NOVA launcher) scroll down to Tasker Shortcut and select the name of the Task you just created. It will open Tasker and all you have to do is hit the soft back key a couple of time to exit and your new shortcut to your EPM or Power Menu will be on your screen.

its one of the best feature of kitkat
but in cynogenmod 11 rom its not working
but i enabled it in this way if any one facing this problem then go this way

1) keep backup of both apks Google home apk (Google experience launcher) and velvet apk (Google search) in sd card

2) unistall both Google home apk(Google experience launcher) and google search now( velvet apk) by root unistaller
or manual deletion by root explorer via root >system >apps>delete Google home apk
for velvet apk go to system > pri-apk>delete velvet. apk
3)now first install velvet. apk as normal apk(not a system app)
4)open it activate Google now >set language to English (us) >
go to settings >voice >enable hotword detection
note: ok Google only support English us lauage it will not work for any other language
5)now install Google home apk as normal apk ( not as system app)
that's it now u can use ok Google just say ok Google and voice search is active
note: ok Google only works in Google search app and on home screen not any where like moto x

To enable Bookmarks sync in CM 11 4.4.2 AOSP Browser, install the attached apk as a normal app, then go to accounts- Google and check "Browser". That's it, now your bookmarks will sync with the browser.

Enable HD Voice on the Nexus 4 WB-AMR !!!! topic

Is there a way to enable HD Voice (WB-AMR) on the Nexus 4? For some weird reason, the Galaxy Nexus is supported by Rogers for HD Voice but not the Nexus 4.

But I can't figure out how to access the service menu on the Nexus 4 on 4.4.2...

Anyone who can figure this out will be the star of XDA's Nexus 4 forum!

I've been searching for an app that will rotate the sense 5.5 lock screen; there are tons of apps that do rotation, but I haven't been able to find something that will definitely rotate the sense 5.5 lock screen.

[Q] Enable USB Charging Only topic

Hello Guys and girls,

Is there an option on the Huawei Ascend Mate wich allows you to charge the phone with the USB cable.
If I put the cable in my computer it always goes to my SD-card, HiSuite, Camera (PTP) or Media (MTP).

But I don't want to connect to the computer, but I want it charging.
It's still charging if it's connected, but all my music is on my SD card, wich isn't mounted at that time.
