Procedure to flash the ROM :-
1. Download the rom and place it in your root of SD card.
2. Backup all your data (Apps,Contacts,Nandroid).
3. Reboot into recovery (CWM or TWRP - But tested only in CWM)
4. Wipe cache partition, Wipe user data and Dalvik Cache.
5. Choose zip from sd card and select the downloaded ROM
6. Reboot, Done :good:

Hey guys, I am gonna tell you how to enable multi users on your A116 !!
First of all install Xposed framework and reboot then follow the given steps:-

Download the latest version of this app from the link above... Then after download is completed install this app on your phone... After installation is complete, open Xposed installer app and go to modules and enable this app !! Then reboot you phone... After reboot is complete, go to settings there you will find a sub setting named "Users" !! Open it and enjoy...

Hi, I want to root my Micromax Canvas HD A116.. I checked many methods on internet to root my phone.. but i found this method easiest & safest.. That method is explained on a blog and in a youtube video tutorial.. All steps are same on both websites.. But there is a little difference.. That is- it is explained in blog just to install framaroot application and proceed with clicking on super su [found in framaroot app] but in video tutorial it is explained that first install super su from play store and then proceed with clicking on super su in framaroot app.. What is correct.. Should i install super su or not.. Please help.. I don't want to brick my phone..

[Root] Root Micromax Bolt A40 topic

I'm new on XDA and this is my first post :)

Today I'm going to show you that how to Root Your Micromax Bolt A40 with Shuame.;)

Steps.
1.Download USB Drivers from wwwgoo.gl/RWrBqK (Add (.) after www)

2.Install drivers in your PC

3.Download Shuame (Chinese App For Pc) wwwgoo.gl/D2inJ (Add (.) After www)

4.install shuame in your PC

5.Now Connect Your phone to pc
(note:usb debugging must be ticked in setting/Applications/Development and drivers must be installed properly otherwise shuame will not detect your phone :( )

6.Now Open Shuame it will detect your device automatically. And After Detecting Your phone a picture of phone will be shown on ur pc screen :P

7.Now Click The Last Root Tab From Shuame...

8.Wait for Sometime and after that shuame will show that your phone is Rooted.

Now Restart your phone And See that a kinguser will be installed in your phone

That's it now Your micromax Bolt A40 Is Rooted And You can Install Any App which need SU permissions ...

HOW TO INSTALL:-
Copy the downloaded recovery.img to your
ADB folder
-- Turn off your phone
-- Boot into fastboot mode by pressing power
button and volume down keys together
--connect your phone to PC using USB cable
--Open cmd then type the command "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img"
--And U are done

PROCESS 2 (easy but works on rooted phones only)
--Install Android Terminal Emulator
--Place cwm recovery in ur sd card
--Open a terminal emulator
- Type the command "su"
- Then type the command
"dd if = / sdcard / cwmrecovery.img of = / dev/block/mmcblk0p13"
