Isp block topic

So I got a chromecast for my birthday and was super excited to use it but it wouldnt connect to the wifi for my apartment complex. I called the isp and they block all cc, apple tv, roku ect. I spoofed the mac adress to my tablet to try to gain acees but it wouldn't let my tablet connect. Therefore I think it must be blocked by mac adress? Anyway I have a model h2g2 42 and would like to find a way to connect my device to the internet and use my new toy. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks
Jared

Block from stolen topic

HI ALL :)
Hi all guys i want to ask or to search somebody who now if exist a program what block the power button on the phone.
now i will explain.
I think if its a method to block the power button because,if in lockscreen you block the power button
(only for phones what have non-removable battery)
with some program, the thief can power off it and you will bee able to find it with program like androidlost.
i think this is a good method to counteract mobile stolen. :good:
p.s: sorry for my bad English :D
i'm LG G2 user.

[Q] Block problem. topic

Hi Guys.
I need a help.
My friend has HTC One Max, and he turned on Locking method with finger.
After setting this feature, he tryed sometimes to unblock telephone, but all was failed.
And after this telephone wants from him to type "reserve password". He has password "1234p", but he can type latin letter "p" because by default keyboard setted up to write in cyrilic. He can't change keyboard layout to latin, because he blocked by "security lock".
Anyone can help. How to solve that ? Reboot doesn't help.

Maybe install again stock ROM? Additional question : Where i can get latest stock ROM for HTC One Max ?

Block Ads on Surface! :D topic

Ok, so disclaimer: this isn't the same as Ad Block, some ads will slip through, and there will probably be IE error messages popping up.

However, if you despise adverts and are ready to give feedback, this does block many ads.
So, what we're doing is editing Windows' built-in hosts file to block these addresses at the source.

First, download the hosts file attached here.
Then, browse to "C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc" and rename "hosts" to "hosts.old"
Then copy and paste the file you downloaded into the folder, making sure there is no file extension (go to View>show/hide file extensions)

Next, open CMD as admin (start>cmd>right click>run as admin)
Type "net stop dnscache" and hit enter.
After a couple minutes that'll finish.
Type "sc config dnscache start= disabled"

Reboot your Surface (or other device)

You're now (mostly) ad-free! Let me know what you think, and what effects this has on page load speed. (negligible to me, but I'm on a high-speed, slow connections would most benefit.) :good:

[Q] Can't find the right memory block for Note 2. topic

I recently updated my Sprint Galaxy Note 2 to android 4.3. Everything went slow, and so it was suggested to hard reset my device. I though I had everything backed up but i didn't. I am trying to recover deleted files. I used the guide I found on this forum here.

My problem is the under /dev/block all the mmcblk files are 0 bytes. Every time I extract I get 0 bytes as well. What should I do differently? Is there a different location I should be looking at?

Thanks
