Plz Help! HTC One Stuck On Start Up Screen topic

I went to install the most recent up date. When it got done installing it started to reboot. It then got stuck on the HTC start up screen. I do not know a whole bunch on phones but did a little research and tried to recover and reboot the phone and neither worked. I would really like to find a fix that does not involve erasing all my data. I have all the pictures of my baby from the past year, from the time that he was born until now, and I would really hate to lose those. Thank you!

HEY GUYS !!
I am new to xda so im not sure if i have posted it at the right place.
anyway, my phone (galaxy pocket GTS5300) is rooted runs on infuzion 2 kernel and has hydroperia v2 custom rom(i followed the instructions from xda)
so recently i wanted to increase its ram so i partioned my external sd and installed swapper 2 (just like the post in xda),everything went all right
then i downloaded "file2sd"" from play store and installed it to gets some space in my phones internal memory but as i opened the app and selected
the format as ext3 the said i have to reboot and i pressed the "" restart now ""button,thats it and the phone just got stuck i waited for some time no buttons responded so removed the battery and tried turning it on but it just shows a blank screen after showing the model no. and i CANT enter recovery mode but i can enter odin (but my laptop does not recognize the device,eventhough i have tried installing all the usb drivers and kies ,i dont know if its because of the data cable or windows8 or my phone ) so i removed my external sd copied all my files and saw (in mini tool partition wizard)that my 2nd partition was full(512 mb)i didnt know what to do and i formatted everything(sd).
i dont know what to do next .someone please help!!!

Hi guys I'm new on this forum and I hope this is the right place to put this thread.

I wanted to try the Cyanogenmod with my HTC One and got it installed and working properly but then I decided that the mod was not for me and I wanted to go back to the normal os, now I dont have any os at all and for some reason I can't start the cyanogenmod again, I have read a lot of threads and guides on how to fix this but I haven't found the right thread for me so I thought I would start my own. I should also mention that I tried a lot of these fixes and probably made the situation worse but I hope I can still fix this.

What do you need to know to possibly help me and what do I need?
And since I'm completely new on everything related to anything please explain things as simple as possible :)

unable to start camera topic

so prior to being on venom 4.2, i was on venom 3.xx. i had no problems prior.

i flash 4.2, and had no problems related to the camera not working. i had other problems though, after reflashing 4.2 those problems went away, but now a new problem came up.

after a restart, i can use the camera maybe once, or take one photo. after that, the screen through the camera will be frozen on screen. i can still take pictures, but it will only be off what is on the screen. after closing the camera, or force closing it,upon trying to open the camera app again, it barely loads, then force closes automatically and i get an "unable to start camera" bubble on screen. i can see only the grid outline of the camera, off center and such very briefly ontop of my wallpaper.

i can do a reset on my phone, and resume taking pictures, sometimes i am fine to continue, other times its the same problem. this is a very common recurring problem for me.

looking at my apps, i see 2 cameras installed, one is the new 5.0, and the other is the old 4.xx camera. i have frozen the 4.xx camera before through titanium, and it doesnt fix it. should i uninstall the 4.xx camera altogether?

subsequent reflashing of this rom doesnt fix this issue. and i dont know what else to do rather than reflashing the rom from a blank slate. previous reflashings have been on top of the current rom.
i would rather not have to start new as this phone has crappy amoint of space, and i cannot back up all my apps and settings.

i dont know if it is kernel related. prior to 4.2 i was using elemental x, after 4.2 i switched to beastmode since i wasnt soff.
is there perhaps a way i can manually start the camera through root browser?

[Q] Youtube app force closes on start, every time. topic

As the title would suggest, I've recently noticed an issue with the Youtube app.
If I remove update and use the old version, it loads ok and I can play videos in the app. If I get an external app to launch it to play a video, it will FC.
When upgrading to the latest version the app will FC every time it is launched. I've cleared the data and cache from the app but it still does it.
Using stock rom 4.2.2 , rooted with xposed installed.
would "force" uninstalling the app and installing it from the store make a difference?

How to disable auto start walkman app? topic

Hi,

I don't use walkman but spotify for audio. In smart connect I added the action that plugging in the headphone starts spotify.
The action works, but as soon as i plug in the headphone also the walkman app is started en starts playing in stead.
In smart connect there are no actions defined which refer to the walkman app, also in the app there are no settings for this.

Some knows how to solve this?

HTC One X Wont Start topic

I have the international HTC One X (tegra 3) and its unlocked. The bootloader is unlocked, but no custom rom. I'm running jellybean i thing 4.2 something. I put my phone on charge last night and it was charging and all was merry, (red led was on). And I wake up and phone is completely dead. Nothing wrong with the charger, it worked on my trusty ol HTC Desire. I tried forcing a power cycle, but no luck. Tried to boot into bootloader, with power and vol down, but no luck. I took out the sim, but no luck. My phone was part of the original or one of the earliest batches, the ones which have the faulty connection to the wifi antenna (so you have to press on the back of the phone to get any wifi connection.) Could it be possible that the connection to the battery has also become faulty. (Either from me pressing to much on the back or yesterday i had some thread from my jeans stuck in the 3.5 mm jack that i cleared with a small pin, and I accidentally unplugged or broke something). TL:DR, My phone wont start, no power cycles, no charge, no bootloader. My carrier is o2 but that is irrelevant.

I'll put some tablets to the use at my store to help customers and because of this I want to know if there's any way I can make the tablet allow access only the program of the store and if the employee try to start any application the system will asks for a password block his access to system configuration and use non-work app's?

My at&t galaxy s3 would not turn on at all after I messed around with some apps called "Aparted" and "Swapper 2".. If there is some way this could be fixed I would really appreciate it!

So the story was..

I was reading some forums and their guides on how you can add more RAM and use an ExtSD to an Internal SD.
So I got interested and decided to do the guide to see if it will really boost up my phone. So I downloaded Aparted and Swapper 2. I then I wiped and partition my ExtSD to 3 partitions. 1 formatted to Ext3 for the swapper to use RAM, 1 formatted to ext4 for the Internal memory. And 1 formatted to Fat32 for my computer to read.

I thought it was a good idea since it will boost up my phone.

But then when I stared the swapper 2 to start using the partition for the RAM, everything went smoothly and the app said it was set successfully and asking to reboot. So I did. After the phone turned off to reboot, it usually takes 2 seconds for it to vibrate and start booting but it was completely dead and not responding to the power button. I could not even go to recovery mode or download mode because the buttons do not respond. When I connect it to a charger and the battery removed, it only lights up a red LED and when I try to put back the battery it only goes away. I've tried various things to boot up my phone. From waiting to removing the battery and wait, when putting it on a computer which only reads QHSUSB_DLOAD, downloaded the qualcomm drives which now reads HS-USB diagnostics 9008 and leaving the phone on a charger for a day to no avail. If anyone could try and help without me sending my phone to a JTAG or anything that would make me spend too much money..

So i have this problem with my phone.

I installed blazin kernel 16 tcwm on my phone and after that the phone doesn't start up.
When i want to go to Recovery or download it also does nothing.
Now i'm charging up the phone and the animation of the charge status also doesn't work.

the rom i had installed was a cyanogenmod jelly bean.

but now i can't start my phone

Help me fix my LG G2 ATT D800 - will not start topic

Hey all. A couple of days ago it seem that there was an auto update that came in OTA. I had my phone plugged it to charge when the update showed up on the home screen. I did not do the update but left my phone on and plugged in to charge overnight. The next morning, I went to get my phone and the TWRP screen (TWRP that I previously installed) was on the home screen. Now I am stuck. I can not boot into the phone.

When I try to power my phone, I get the LG logo then the phone immediately boots into TWRP and here I remain. I can not get into the down load mode to restore to phone to factory defaults. I did have the phone rooted, unlocked, TWRP installed, Flashify installed, and Goo Manager installed, as well as being SU enabled.

I had a backup of Flashify, but it is gone. I have a TWRP backup, but when I try to restore it, I am still stuck in the TWRP screen after I reboot.

Here is what happens. I select the restore of the file that I have on the phone and on the TWRP log screen, it shows the following:

After that, I get the Reboot System. I reboot the system and the result is: I get the LG G2 symbol and I go right back into the TWRP screen with the options of "Install" "Wipe" "Backup" "Restore" "Mount" "Settings" "Advanced" and "Reboot".

I reboot into the following screen with "System" "Power Off" "Recovery" "Bootloader"

If I reboot into System - I wind up at the TWRP screen again after the LG logo.
If I reboot into Recovery - I wind up at the TWRP screen again after the LG logo.
If I reboot into Bootloader - I wind up at the TWRP screen again after the LG logo.
If I reboot into Power Off - when I power on I wind up at the TWRP screen again after the LG logo.

I tried a hard factory reset - back into the TWRP screen after the LG logo.

My computer does not recognize the LG G2 like it used to - I was able to see the SD card and get into it. Now, all I can find is the LG G2 under the Device Manager, Other Devices, G2 but the advanced properties show "Drivers not installed" and I can not install them.

How do I save my phone? I have some LG G2 backups on the computer, I have a Flashify Back Up on the computer, and I have a copy of the TWRP backup on the computer. But I can not get into "download mode" and doing a factory hard reset does nothing.

I was trying to get a new rom on my M7 (I tried http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2358781) but got stuck running the flash command and now it won't turn on. The phone was unlocked, S-Off but not rooted. the red LED is not flashing, screen won't come on and I can't access the phone via USB. I have already tried the trick with bright light and did a full charge over night but that didn't work either (phone had about 80% when it died). did I hard brick the phone? i appreciate any help.

[Q] Updating my old hero - how to start? topic

Hello,

I have an old HTC Hero (GSM) with a very old VillainROM on it, I haven't touched the phone for years. I now wanted to update with this ICS ROM (or potentially another one), however, I was unsure where to start, e.g. update my bootloader or whatever.

I tried copying the linked ROMs zipfile to the SD card, booting into my loader, wipe everything, and then "Install from zip". However, that fails while verifying the zip package.

I then also tried the newest official CM7 nightly for the hero, and that didn't produce above verify error.

Should I update my bootloader or something, or is just the ROM I tried broken? (for other people in that thread it seems to work).
