[Q] (URGENT) LG G2 VS980 soft brick (No ROM or Recovery, only download mode) topic

I have VS980, with some version of PA 4. I hadnt updated it in a while so i downloaded the latest zip and tried to flash it with twrp. (i dont remember the exact version, but not 2.7) For some reason i suppose twrp didnt like to play nice with 4.4.3 and failed to something about updating binaries. I'm not sure what it was, doesnt really matter now though. That sorta messed up the rom enough so that it would never boot. it would get to the boot animation, but no further without intervention. So of course i was like "i gotta update my recovery!!" but alas i tried to flash it using adb and now twrp wont work, it only comes to a black screen. So i have been able to find no way to get into fastboot in lg g2 and i cant adb while in recovery and i have no ROM to work with. All i have is download mode which has (according to me) rendered my phone useless. I have been scouring the internet for hours trying to fix this with Download mode, perhaps with odin, but it's only for samsung devices i think. I have exhausted my mind and options and I am completely dumbfounded. If someone could shed some light on this it would be awesome. Before i take it to verizon to play stupid haha. All help is appreciated. I am a semi noob when it comes to this stuff, or i suppose really nooby.

[Q] VS980 Bluetooth Crashing topic

I have tried using CM11 and Mahdi, both of the newest releases along with furnace kernel on both, and I am having issues with bluetooth crashing with my car.

I am using an Appradio2 and have tried both arunchained and arliberator and after a clean install I can get it to work once. Then after I turn my car off my bluetooth crashes and I can't get it to connect again.

Anyone have similar issues or know how to fix?

Can't get CWM to work on VS980 topic

Hi everyone,

Sorry if this is the wrong place to be posting this, but I've tried flashing CWM 6.0.4.4 both touch and non touch versions onto my VS980 multiple ways (through adb and terminal emulator) on top of my old TWRP 2.6.3.2. I haven't gotten it to work ever and really want to make the switch to CWM. I'm trying to replace TWRP with 6.0.4.4 CWM. Thanks!

[Q] VS980 Refuses to Install CM11 via TWRP topic

Hi Everyone,

I have tried and tried, but my phone refuses to let CM11 install. I had been running CM10.2, but I had all sorts of issues, so I decided to go all the way back to stock, re-root, get twrp again. It still won't install CM11. TWRP just says "failed" The log in twrp says:

E:Error executing updater binary in zip "/sdcard/Roms/cm-11-xyzblah.zip
Error flashing zipo '/sdcard/Roms/cm-11-xyzblah.zip'

Any ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

[Q] [Soft Brick] VS980. No baseband version or imei. topic

Hello. I've been personally been coding Android and making recoveries as a hobby. However I quite never seen anything like this. My LG G2 VS980 has no baseband version or imei, in addition, there is no audio output. Not trough speakers or headsets however haven't tried Bluetooth nor using my Chromecast. There is another thread out there about the AT&T varient of the G2 with the same issue however there is no solution except restoring from a backup. My backups where lost when cwm factory reset my phone and I used adb sideload to get back onto CM. Does anyone have a backup of their ROM on the VS980? Hopefully I could restore from that backup and save my G2

Can't Flash Stock? VS980 topic

Everything I try (TOT and KDZ) seems to not be working. The KDZ method completely skips step 2, and the TOT method says "Device model is different, check Phone or DLL). I have reverted back to stock MANY of times with these before, and now all of a sudden it doesn't want to work.

Confused on which *rever back to stock* method i should use VS980 topic

So i just got my replacement device since the other one has been locking and unlocking itself its been really annoying. I just got the replacement device meaning i need to send back the other one but i need to return it back to stock. I did some research and i dont know which method to use. I found like 3 and i dont want to use the wrong one.

I have TWRP 2.3.4 installed with malladus rom but im still on the 11A build. So which guide should i use?

(ROM)carbon ROM 4.4 vs980 topic

Looks like the thread for the carbon ROM for the Verizon lg g2 was deleted..

Luckily I saved a copy in the cloud.. I'll post a link but keep in mind this is just a copy of what was out there already. I have had nothing to do with the dev of this ROM so please don't give me any credit for it.
