I'm currently on a custom kernel and rom for 4.3 but I'm having terrible battery life and I'm tired of flashing new roms to get the same result. As for some of my friends that have a verizon S3 phone, they get better battery life and don't have all the problems that I continue to have.
Is there a way to go back to complete stock and let my phone do the OTA update and not have to worry about this phone anymore?
I know I must sound crazy for wanting my phone to go back to normal, but I'm tired of having all the problems and trying to find new roms to have them fail on me, even though everyone else seems to be having good luck with them.

So again I'm a Verizon S3 on 4.3, Baseband VRUCML1. Ktoonz kernel on CleanRom 8

Is there a guide on how to roll back to Touchwiz? Currently have CM rom flashed onto it but am really getting tired of the bad camera without Touchwiz. I did a search and couldn't locate anything. Thanks in advance.

Cm11 no signal after flash, can't get it back topic

Hi all, I flashed temasek's latest build and now have no signal (no gsm or data). I played around a little, cleaning sim, checking apn and mobile data settings but still no joy. So I restored the backup I made before the flash and still no signal. Not sure how to get it back, any ideas guys?

I currently am using my nexus 5 (unlocked from Play Store) on sprint and I will be going out of the country for a couple weeks and want to use a local SIM card when I get there. I have a couple questions.

1) what do I need to do to switch from Sprint CDMA and LTE SIM to a foreign GSM SIM?

2) once I get back in the country what do I need to do to switch from the from the foreign GSM SIM back to my Sprint CDMA and LTE SIM

Hi,

My problem is simple : I have an android i9505 under 4.2 which I rooted (I derooted just yesterday by trying things...) and that'all : never installed a ROM or anything else apart this root thing one day.

When i go to DOWNLOAD MODE it says "Custom" so the Samsung warranty can take it in charge, they say that I have to put it like it was before. Of course I don't have any mention of knox since i'm still in android 4.2

So I want to install a stock ROM but I CAN'T do that with ODIN : I tried 4 PC, 10 USB ports, all the drivers in the world, did a numerous wipe cache and stuff but nothing works : the device (in download mode or in normal btw) is not recognized. In the best cases I have a "unknown device" popping up but no version of Odin recognized the device.

Can I install a stock ROM from the SD CARD ? Because when I start in RECOVERY MODE i can see that i can "apply update from..." but all the tutorial says to install fro example "CWM" and choose "install from zip...". Of course I would like to keep a stock ROM and to not have a know Ox1

So to summarize I have :
- a Galaxy S4 i9505 working, NOT ROOTED (checked with "Root Checker Basic"
- with android 4.2
- apparently which is "Custom" but still the samsung touchwizz stock rom...
- NO WAY to make it work via Odin or anything else because the USB connection doesn't work at all
- an external SD card on what I can install stuff : CWM ? a STOCK ROM ?...

Hey guys, Hopefully somebody can help me here.

All was running fine however somewhere along the line something has messed up! I tried to boot into recovery and now im hit with "Secure Booting Error! Cause : boot certification verify" instead of TWRP!

Ive tried to use this method > http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2625044 to flash back to stock and unroot BUT when i get to step 5. of method 1. instead of asking to to Select Country & Language it starts the LGMobile Support Tool and the tool tells me i have the latest available software for my device.

The phone is running fine and i can get into download mode.

HELP!!!
I was trying to get all the files that are useless of off my sd card so i formated it in clockworkmod recovery and did not realize that i just deleted everything on the sdcard. And since i was just so clueless i went ahead and formated everything else that i could and then when i tried to reboot my device it takes me straight to the hboot menu. Is there any way i can get my OS back on to my device, i don't care about my files i just want the main OS back so i can use the phone again. And if you need any extra information please just ask in the comments and i will give you any info i can.

I just unlocked my bootloader via the "chinese" unlock code...How to I get back to 100% stock after having been rooted via SlapMyMoto?

As I understand, the slapmymoto method replaces the recovery. Can I just flash the stock recovery back over it? Should I SFB back to 4.2.2 post camera then OTA back to 4.4?

Trouble getting 100% back to stock. topic

I'm having trouble getting to complete stock, hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.

My current system:
***UNLOCKED***
S-OFF
HBOOT-1.56.0000
RADIO-1.00.20.1108
OS-4.06.651.4

I obtained S-OFF through the "firewater" method. But I'm having an issue where I'm unable to turn S-ON, and set the ***UNLOCKED*** status back to ***LOCKED***.

Whenever I set the status to "LOCKED" my OS disappears. :confused:

Which command locks the bootloader? I want it to show "locked"

I am hoping that you all can help me. I recently had a hardware malfunction on my verizon GS4. It was (is) on MDK firmware -rooted - with CWM- and Eclipse TW 3.0. I need to reset it back to stock as I had to get a warrenty replacement. The kicker is I cannot use the USB port. I had a back up of the stock rom. However that leaves me rooted and with CWM. Any help on how to get this back to stock?

so I'm on my 3rd nook HD+ and all 3 had some sort of flicker when i open an app that's already running (CM10.2 and CM11). I've been tinkering with the Nova options and as soon as I switched the opening app from stock to slider (I believe it's on nova prime only) there were no more flickers to be seen. I'll post a video sometimes this afternoon.

Hi, as many should have read my other thread , i sent my htc one off to htc in texas for the camera replacement and loose micro usb and it came back with 4.4 kitkat and 1.56 , so everything works great but i cant send pics via messaging , mms i guess it is called but i can text words fine and emails and socail networks are fine sending pics

im a noob , but this phone has taught me how to unlock the phone and get root access but none of that stuff has helped me ,, so i would like to go back to the way my phone was before i sent it back with jellybean i cant remember if it was 4.3 or 4.2.2 but i dont care at this point i send pics via mms to many customers and family members and this phone is no good now

I was runing the VDT-11 ROM and messed it up by textdroider and then the only solution was going back to stock, realized that, my phone can't read my SIM card? Anyone else have that problem?
Did use all the guides in here to return to suck, even tried to install a ASOP ROM but still no SIM.
