[Q] Trouble with new ROM topic

Hello.
I've just installed the newest CM7.2 from tomeq on my Samsung i5700 Spica. It's fine, but i have trouble with applications. It's based on android 2.3.7, so it's not that old. Earlier i had Zalito jellybean (4.1.2) and apps like snapchat, messenger could be installed and I even could use them normally. As I installed CM7 i can't even dowload it from googleplay, because my device isn't compatible. I've searched few solutions but each don't work. I tried to edit build.prop with changing ro.build.version.release ro.product.model locating ro.product.brand to different values but it didn't help at all. i tried to change DPI also, still nothing. I tried to download apps from other source and install it, and for example snapchat can be installed with no problems, but when I run it, it crash, or starts&can't load (yellow screen). I was looking for build.prop in system/bin but it's not there, it's only in /system.
I tried everything but it don't help.
Any ideas?

Trouble getting 100% back to stock. topic

I'm having trouble getting to complete stock, hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.

My current system:
***UNLOCKED***
S-OFF
HBOOT-1.56.0000
RADIO-1.00.20.1108
OS-4.06.651.4

I obtained S-OFF through the "firewater" method. But I'm having an issue where I'm unable to turn S-ON, and set the ***UNLOCKED*** status back to ***LOCKED***.

Whenever I set the status to "LOCKED" my OS disappears. :confused:

[Q] HTC one trouble topic

I unlocked my boot loader, flashed twrp recovery, added supersu as directed but somewhere/somehow I did something wrong Cuz now I can't get passed the HTC start up logo and when I enter recovery the touch screen doesn't work in order to choose an option. Can somebody PLEESE HELP ME OUT?!!? (I know, I know dam noobys)

[Q] Baseband / Imei / No sim card Trouble topic

I've been researching and fiddling with this phone since Saturday. So here it goes:
First off the cell doesn't recognize it doesn't have a sim, because the "No SIM card, emergency calls only",doesnt show up on home screen.
When i press *#06# , I get a blank IMEI .
Settings, About phone,Software information, more.. Baseband Version "unkown"
Sim Toolkit says " "Sim tollkit is not ready or unsupported"
*#4636#*#* Phone info: "Signal stength: 0 dBm 99asu" ( get -79 dBm 17asu on test phone)
Location: LAC=0 CID=0 (LAC=0 CID=0 on test phone)
Now this is very weird on my test phone(GF's phone) the set prefered network type is GSM/WCDMA/LTE auto, and when I to to set this phone to that setting it will go back to CDMA+LTE/Evdo auto in 2 to 10 seconds (so thats no gsm/sim only cdma).

Now when i connect to Windroid HTC Vivid it will show me the CID, MID, IMEI, SERIAL# AND GETVar (shows everything except unkown baseband there)

Phone is running 4.0.3,software number 3.26.502.56 710Rd, Baseband number 3.26.502.56 CL 302737 ,Bought the phone like this, any help would be apreciated. Saw a post on GSM Forum while googling for similar problems that said, its a cold solder joint on the chipset. So any suggestion tips or tricks, im all ears(eyes).Already did the RUU, tried to get to GB but the file is impossible to get, and heard you cant because of upgradede bootloader.


P.S. can you tell I've been doing a lot of reading?? :laugh:

Also just saw this, dont know if its of any use, On the Test Page, when I press the Edit Key(next to home button) and select "Select Radio Band", the working HTC Vivid shows "Automatic" and "USA Band" , while the broken one displays "Automatic" ,"EURO band" ,"USA Band" ,"Japan Band" ,"AUS Band" AND "AUS2 Band"

Bootloop trouble HTC One X topic

Hi all, having some trouble with my HTC One X.
I've had it for about 1.5 years with no problems at all, until tonight.
I was using Snapchat, put the phone down on charger ( was at 5% battery) and then had a nap.
Woke up and found it was boot looping, tried to get into the boot loader but it reboots within seconds of me getting to the boot loader screen and I can't select anything.

Any suggestions?

[Q] Trouble Installing ICS on X8. topic

Hey guys, I've been browsing xda for a couple months and now I decided to create an account since I've met a problem I can't overcome and I think I could use some help of the members in here.

So what I am trying to do is install the ICS kernel to my X8 and then install the CMD Rom, but everytime I stuck in bootloop after I install the nAa kernel.

The steps I followed are

• Root The Phone


• Install x8 Drivers


• Unlock the bootloader


• Flash nAa Kernel

But after flashing the nAa kernel it just stucks in the Sony Ericsson logo and I have to remove the battery to reboot the phone, I managed to recover it by flashing a stock rom and I tried again installing a different nAa version but still no luck. I also tried wiping data & cache & delvik cache as I read in some threads that may helped but still nothing.

I am kinda new to flashing new roms on devices so I don't know I followed the steps correctly. I also used the search function and found some threads that helped me unbrick the phone back to stock rom, but I can't install the nAa kernel.

Any help would be really appreciated since the x8 device is a friend of mine and I would like to return fully fuctionable.

Having trouble flashing ROMs. topic

Hi there. I've looked up and down but haven't seen anyone else with this problem yet, unless I missed it, then I sincerely apologize. I am rooted, ruining stock at the moment, and cannot get anything to flash properly. I've tried 2 different ROMs and they keep saying it wasn't made got v500, but for "awifi", but is from the TWRP I have. Can someone help me out or point me in the right direction? Thank you in advance.

[Q] Recovery Trouble, Please Help :( topic

I put TWRP Recovery on my LS970 and tried flashing the Liquid Jelly Bean ROM on and it ended up with just pure stress. Before I flashed it I had wiped the dalvik and normal cache and even factory reset it before flashing and it said it installed correctly. I restarted my phone (and I do have an unlocked boot loader and recovery of course) and it was stuck on the Google unlocked boot picture. I tried flashing it again and Ive used LGNPST and LG Flashtool and none helped. I was wondering if there is a possible solution to this perhaps I could send a flashable zip through my computer? Please help

[Q] Trouble Reverting back to Stock topic

Hi guys, I've been using CM 10.1 but will now sell the phone so I want to revert it back to stock. I have searched a long time for instructions but kept running into stumbling blocks. Basically, the RUU I need is 4.18.401.2 but then I found out HTC no longer released their RUUs so I tried to find a nandroid backup. Then I found this page: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...php?p=33728099 but non of the correct RUUs match my CID (HTC_102). Can anyone give me a hand and point me in the right direction? [Q] Trouble flashing any roms and RUU topic

I upgraded to 4.06.651.4. HBoot 1.56 Unlocked S-On

Using TWRP 2.6.3.0, I am unable to successfully flash any roms. Everything is successfully installed but all exhibit the same behavior. Boots up and when I unlock the lockscreen, I get the "htcdialer is taking too long" or whatever. No matter what I do there, it will eventually reboot (within 1 minute or so). Tried flashing some aosp roms but they do not fully boot.

Tried locking bootloader and running RUU 3.05.651.6 (which seems to be the latest) but it always fails with an unknown error, which is likely because I'm trying to downgrade firmware? Problem is there doesn't appear to be a 4.06 RUU yet.

Any ideas?

Trouble flashing Cm 11 nightly topic

Hi, everyone. I'm having some trouble trying to flash thE Cm 11 20140217 d2att nightly rom. I'm currently running Cm 10.2 nightly and when I go to flash the cm11 zip, I am getting a ro.buildprop bootloader i747 error which causes the installation to abort. I'm stumped. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!

[Q] trouble with apps reading sd card topic

I'm currently using the goodness rom, and trying to switch over to Macks Allstar MA7 rom. Everything goes well except everything on my SD card isn't being read. Any music apps show that I have no music(all saved to my sd card). The gallery only shows the pictures that I have saved on the phone itself. But if I use a file explorer, it shows everything is still there.

Can someone help me figure this out? Thanks.

BTW, I've tried flashing the rom both from my phone and from the SD card with the same results.

It is running liquidsmooth rom.. I have tried flashing some other VZW roms (esp. want to try out kit-kat roms) and I get an error during the flashing process..

[Q] Trouble installing CWM after OTA 4.3 Update topic

Hi guys,

Looking for some advice.

I previously had my phone rooted on 4.2 and everything was working great. For some reason I decided to install the OTA 4.3 update before reading here what it did. Before that though, I did a full backup through CWM.

Anyway, I'm now having trouble re-installing CWM to get back into recovery mode and go back to my backup.
When I try flashing it through Odin, it says Failed, and it seems like the phone blocked it because it is a recovery system.

Currently, when I boot up, I get the Custom logo, and when I try to go into recovery mode, it gets blocked and says it's unauthorized software, so I don't think I really installed the update right.

So, is there anyway to get CWM back on the phone to revert to my backup, or is there a way to flash the whole backup from a PC? The file is still intact on my SD card.

[Q][XU] Trouble with phone (APP) topic

Hello people,

I have rooted my xperia U phone and flashed a custom ROM. Everything went fine.

But now, 2 days after that, I have trouble with the phone app.
I can't accept calls (the app freezes) and can't call someone really, since the screen doesn't change into the "phone mode". So I choose f.e. someone in my recent calls, press to call, but I don't see if the person gets really called, since I don't see the screen with the "end call" button etc.

Also it makes no sounds. But the callled person is getting the call, so that he can answer.

After 10 seconds I see this "phone mode", but it's really a huge problem.

I hope you can help me to solve it.
