nexus 5 battery level going up !! topic

Hi all

Just noticed on my nexus 5 if i use it for a while obviously the battery level goes down, but then if i look a bit later its gone back up!

for example i was on my lunch and used nexus for a while, checked battery it was on 61%, then an hour later i checked and it was on 63% ??

When i looked at the graph on the battery usuage it does show it going up.

Anyone else noticed this?

Hi guys,

I have this phone for 3 weeks, and I think it's a great phone but simply can't stand the fact that when I shoot in low light condictions I got that flash bleeding simply destroing picture quality.

I've used the marker trick, but after a week or so the coloring has gone away and I had to do it againg.

Guys, so frustrating you need to paint a 400£ phone once a week come on....

Will Sony do something about it, or they consider just enough they've said "You're shooting it wrong" like reportend on Talk Sony Mobile forum?

Will they just take our money and fix this on Z2 Compact?

Always loved Sony for the way they are different form Samsung, Lg etc. but really disappointed this time...:(

Possible solution to screen flicker when going back to an app topic

Hey Guys,

so I'm on my 3rd nook HD+ and all 3 had some sort of flicker when i open an app that's already running (CM10.2 and CM11). I've been tinkering with the Nova options and as soon as I switched the opening app from stock to slider (I believe it's on nova prime only) there were no more flickers to be seen. I'll post a video sometimes this afternoon.

Hi, as many should have read my other thread , i sent my htc one off to htc in texas for the camera replacement and loose micro usb and it came back with 4.4 kitkat and 1.56 , so everything works great but i cant send pics via messaging , mms i guess it is called but i can text words fine and emails and socail networks are fine sending pics

im a noob , but this phone has taught me how to unlock the phone and get root access but none of that stuff has helped me ,, so i would like to go back to the way my phone was before i sent it back with jellybean i cant remember if it was 4.3 or 4.2.2 but i dont care at this point i send pics via mms to many customers and family members and this phone is no good now

PLEASE HELP ME AND PLEASE NO I DONT KNOW THE LINGO SO IF U COULD GIVE ME STRAIGHT ON INSTRUCTIONS LIKE WONDER HOW TO DID ON ROOT AND UNLOCK I THINK I CAN DO IT ;)

Hi,
My galaxy note was rooted and flashed omni 4.4.2. Its work very nice and smooth, but now after 2or 3 weeks when i was playing games, my Galaxy note suddenly dead and cant boot into system.
I was tried to flash the rom again, factory reset, wipe all the things and reflash the omni rom, it works.
But when it boot into the system, at the language chosing interface, my phone was dead again.
Anyone know what is going on? Help!

Thinking of going to custom roms, have some questions topic

I'm getting dissatisfied with my phone as time goes on. First it was just battery and everything else was still great, but now it's started to produce some weird hiccups and bugs.

Even though LG's software was the best stock software I've ever used, I'm thinking of going custom roms now. The problem is ; is it really worth the hassle and risk?

If you were using stock and went custom recently , I'm waiting for your experience reports. How's battery life? How does custom stuff work (like themes,mods,etc.) and are they stable? Is the phone stable in a general manner (missing alarms,resets,etc.)? These are the most critical points, hope you ll answer.

[Q] Overheating issues since going Franco topic

So I've had a lot of issues with my nexus 5 randomly rebooting and decided it was time to do a complete factory reset on it. Since I had been running stock, unrooted, locked bootloader since launch, I also decided it was time to unlock, root, and switch to Franco to see if it would improve things.

Now before, when I was charging my phone in my car, on my dashboard mount, while running Waze and driving in sunlight without AC (mine's dead), my phone would sometimes overheat. I'd know because it was hot to the touch, my battery widget would show overheat status, and it would stop charging. It would still FUNCTION, though.

Since my wipe/root/Franco change, though, it no longer reacts the same way. Now it simply gets so hot that it begins to freeze or fail to respond to normal functions and then eventually reboots itself, one time putting itself into a boot loop from the heat until I stepped in, forced it to the bootloader and powered it off until it cooled down.

Any idea why this change to Franco (I'm assuming it's the difference and not merely rooting, since that shouldn't change anything) would cause this, and what sort of settings I should adjust? I changed CPU temp threshold from 60 down to 52 in FKU, but that's done either nothing, or simply avoided the boot loop issue I had before. Do I need to lower that further? It's not even clear what that setting does. Anything else I can do?

Strongly considering going back to stock kernel to test further, but I know it's a slight pain to remove Franco due to all the roots, plus I wanted its improvements.

Flashing in ODIN failing when going back to stock topic

When I boot the phone normally, I get the Verizon warning about non-Verizon software. I am able to go to Download mode just fine. I have tried both the ODIN (I've tried JODIN as well) and VZW utility methods and neither is working. I have successfully re-partitioned using the PIT in the link, but the actual tar ball fails. Hi all,

I've got a GT-N7100 and I'm currently running Ditto Note 3. I struggled to find which firmware my phone was meant to run on stock. Its a South African phone so I downloaded the XFE 4.1.2 one for South Africa.

I tried installing that and in the process it lost the IMEI. I went back to DN3 and the IMEI is back and all is working. I really want to go back to stock 4.1.2. Is there something I'm doing that's wrong?

[Q] Device not going into recovery topic

So I just unlocked the bootloader. I tried flashing the TWRP custom recovery. I accidentally installed the incorrect version (I'm sporting the 4.4 unlocked GSM version btw), so I thought no big deal, I'll just get the correct one. I find the correct one, the twrp-2.6.3.1-ghost-4.4 one, and flash that using fastboot. It looks like it works but at the beginning, it says "<bootloader> Variable not supported!" but it finishes. I try booting into recovery from the fastboot screen. It goes immediately to the unlocked bootloader screen and just stays there for like 3 minutes, then powers off, and goes back into android. Any help? I would love to get a recovery on here to root my device.

Ive been S-On for years now with no issues, currently 2.09 and 3.15. Running Sense 5 Y10 with ElementalX Kernel. I was curious if there are any advantages to having the latest firmware which means going S-Off ?? Like I said, its running fine and snappy with no glitches, PRL updates, but with newer ROMS coming out, I dont know if it will conflict with my older firmware, Also if I do go S-Off, can I keep my current Sense 5 rom ? Thanks for any input, Im kind of old school and if it aint broke, dont fix it. ;)

Problems going back to stock topic

Hi,

Was running CM11 on my GS4. I want to go completely back to stock however I'm hitting issues with it.
Downloaded the 02UK firmware file from Samware, flashed it in Odin, did a wipe before and after. Takes a while to boot in each time, sometimes needs a battery pull etc.

Now, I can load up fine - however no matter what I try, wifi won't turn on, a lot of the time signal will drop/ turn off when I lock the screen. Have tried flashing 4.2.2 as well, exactly the same and on the latest flash noticed as issue with the recovery, won't allow a data wipe/ partition in recovery, just flashes something red and then reboots.

I know this has probably been asked a milion times before. But hoping someone can help me get back to stock without the issues!

I'm currently running beanstalk 4.4.1 rooted with twrp installed. I did the 4.3 OTA update before I went with the custom roms.
what is my options as far as going back to stock 4.3? I've read several threads but non of them were the exact scenario that im in. Any help is appreciated.

New contacts added from phone are not going into the "My Contacts" group in Google topic

I have Googled this and haven't found any one else having this problem so I wanted to check in this forum and see if something's got messed up on my phone/account.

When I add a contact from the phone, it gets synced up to Google - but not to the "My Contacts" group. So when I search for the contact on the phone, I can't find it. But if I click on the "Other Contacts" button, it's there. If I add it to a group such as "Friends", it's in the friends group, but not in the My Contacts group. So I can't find it when I search for it. I have added the contact from received call logs or directly, but it doesn't work. I didn't have this problem with the GS3.

Can someone please add a contact from the phone and see if it makes it to the "My Contacts" group in Google?

My work around is to go to contacts.google.com, search for the contact and then move it to the My Contacts group. Really annoying and I'd like to find the fix for this.

I have been thinking about getting the G2 for a little while. I'm with Tmobile and they have it for 0 but I'm wondering if there are any phones coming out in the next couple of months that would be worth waiting for. I have a Nexus 4 and it's been good but I like the G2 because of it's screen size and battery life. The updates on the Nexus are great to have but I think battery life might be more important to me.

Is there a phone coming out soon that you will be getting?
