[Q] Help with Nexus 7 2nd gen - Bricked? topic

Hello all

Trying to figure out some issues with my nexus 7.

I was loading up a game, and hit back. The device froze, and I attempted to reboot. Would freeze at "google" screen.

I've tried to do a factory reset via recovery mode, and it simply returns that it cannot mount the partitions, with the "invalid argument" as the reason.

I've attempted to manually wipe the directories via fastboot, but it always fails with the same error. Invalid argument.

It would appear my file structure is gone, and I cannot load the stock because when I attempt to unlock my fastboot it freezes on removing "userdata"

I've tried 3 PCs, all different cables, usb 1,2 and 3. I've used the Asus USB drivers, and the universal. I've tried Wugs methods, which simply render the same error, just quicker.

adb sideloading also fails. It just seems I cannot get anything to write on the sdcc.

fastboot oem ? - fails
fastboot oem h - fails

Only thing that works, is the listing of the device in adb/fastboot - It will prompt for the unlock, but once hitting yes it freeze. Sat for 2 hours, nothing.

Any ideas?

[Q] Samsung Soft Bricked - how to restore? topic

I tried flashing to 2.3.5 after i got stuck on boot after flashing a CM nightly. This got me stuck into recovery and ended up getting a "E: Cant mount /sdcard/" error.

After this, i decided to try flashing back to stock using this Odin one click: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=731989

Now, my phone boots and gets stuck in a boot loop, constantly restarting the the white at&t startup screen. When i plug it in to my pc to access download mode, all i get is a grey battery screen with a spinning circle.

I now have a USB jig, so what should i do at this point to get my phone back into working condition? Hopefully to where i can flash a stable CM11 rom afterward.

Hey guys, I'm currently having problem with my note 8.0 :( iI tried installing cm11. Downloaded and followed the steps but after wiping and formatting all the stuff that was in the step I'm having this prob see pic below. It says that I'm using n5110 instead of n5100. Now it keeps rebooting and nothing can be done anymore as I already format everything.. and yea forgot to backup ofc ...

Soft bricked phone even after factory image flash topic

Hi all, I am in urgent need of some help...

I got my GS4 when it first came out back in May. It was the VRUAMDK build. I used ODIN and motochopper to get it rooted, eventually got CM going and have been using it ever since.

Today I was playing around flashing different nightlies of CM11. I went to restore from a backup, but it error'd out and said it couldn't restore /data. I rebooted anyway and it hung on the CM logo for about 10 minutes. I tried a wipe/restore again and the same thing happened. I should note that since updating to CWM 6.x.x.x from (I think?) 2.x.x.x I hadn't attempted a restore from backup, but I know that restore worked on CWM 2.

So anyway I went to this thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2301259

Followed the instructions, similar to when I first rooted my phone, and flashed the 99% factory image with Odin. It "worked" ie no errors but upon reboot my phone hangs on the Verizon logo. It gets through the Samsung boot logo but will just sit at the Verizon logo. Not frozen because the logo is shimmering.

At this point I have no idea what to do. Help?

TWRP Fail & Bricked topic

My installation of TWRP just bombed out and left me with the android on its back with a red exclamation mark.

When i type "./adb devices" in terminal window on my mac I now longer see my nexus 7. Any reason why this might be?

If I go into stock recovery to side load, my nexus 7 shows up, though I can not side load the stock rom as i'm getting:

"E:signature verification failed - Installation Aborted" is this because i'm trying to flash image-razor-kot49h.zip which I think can not be flashed in side load?

Very good friends. I have a motorola defy MB525 bricked. not start. when I connect to PC, LED lights in white and does not recognize me from zero to flash firmware with RSD Lite (I hope you can give me some solution.

note: buy another battery thinking it was the battery but does not work. nor I can enter bootloader mode.

Not sure what had gone wrong... I believe the phone may be bricked. I rooted the device and sometime after I attempted to unroot it. Several attempts later with guides from here, htcguru, and many RUU's later it still does not work. It has reached the point where it no longer boots to any sort of rom, rather it will only boot into TRWP's recovery system. previously it would boot to an old rom that was loaded onto it with twrp from htc guru's website. it did nto have any touch compatibility and only the volume and power buttons would work.

I now also cannot access the phone from a computer, the PC (windows) recognizes it in the device manager, but it doesn't show up in windows explorer (maybe because it wont boot anything but the twrp recovery?)

No RUU's can fix it apparently, they will only say they either cannot connect to the phone, or an unknown error occurs and it simply cannot update the phone.

I've tried All-in-one kit, nothing seems to work. I am really at a loss, I spent 14 hours straight trying to unroot it, only progressively making it worse. I also could not get it to accept a mouse input from an otg cable whilst in the no touch input rom, don't know why..

Is this phone now inevitably ****ed beyond repair? I have pretty much given up all hope, I think the last time I asked for help with anything computer related was well over 3 years ago. I finally met my match in the hack and crack world, I read a lot of pages and guides, watched alot of videos, and even the HTC Dev site had me convinced this would be simple, easy, and painless work. Boy was I fooled.

I don't even know where to look anymore for answers, any I have no idea what information to give you guys, please excuse my apparent utter noobness and help me, I will provide as much information as I can, if I can.

[Q] Help! i think i bricked my samsung galaxy tab 2 7.0! :C topic

Hi,

Recently i bought a 16gb SD card from wal-mart and i thought that i could just use that to install apps with...boy was i wrong. Anyway, i decided to root and install cm11.0 on it, everything worked fine and dandy until i decided to install a mod that i saw that said "swap internal SD/External SD. It got me excited and so i jumped into installing it like normal (e.g. recover -> flash -> reboot) and my tablet started up at the boot logo for Samsung. i got excited and excited until i noticed it was taking FOREVER. it booted up and worked but the battery drained out because it was left with 5% left. it died, i tried turning it back on but nothing happens :'c. BUT although whenever i plug the tablet into a wall socket i get a battery logo and a little loading thing that indicates that its charging, BUT the indicator is frozen. It just doesn't move and neither does the charging bar.

I can send pictures of what it looks like but im no photographer :D:D Please helpp!!! :crying: :crying:

[Q] Phone possible bricked? topic

I recently purchased an HTC One from CSpire (CDMA but has a simcard?) and I tried to flash a ROM but it didnt go as planed.

Now when I get into the bootloader and try to do anything the phone either gets stuck in a bootloop or just shuts off then goes straight back to bootloader.

I have tried using multiple RUU's, flashed multiple recovery .img's, and even tried to flash an entirely new version of twrp but nothing worked.

Is it possible to use bootloader to extract a ROM from my pc, via USB, to my HTC One? From there I could go into twrp and run the file but I am not sure exactly how that would work.

Hope I gave enough info and did this post right as this is my first on here.

[Q] Hard bricked my mb886 topic

Hi guys! After a failed firmware, my mb886 is bricked. If press the button(Vol+ Vol- Pwr), nothing happens. And RSD doest detect phone.
Fastboot just doest work.
When connected to the pc it shows up as USB Input Device and HID-compliant in device manager. Hardware ID is (USB\VID_05C6&PID_F006&REV_0000).
Under Linux, defined as Qualcomm inc.
Now it's for parts or have a way to recover? Maybe someone has a JTAG pinout for mb886?

Help me please,
My phone seems softbrick, it is restarting repeatedly and unable to complete boot.
When i wipe cache partition trough recovery mode, unable to open or mount cache/recovery/lastlog.
I tried to flash new custom rom but nothing changed

Bricked my Phone topic

Hi.

stupidly i flashed a wrong CWM Recovery Image on my Xiacai X9

Now i'm in a bootloop and i cannot go into recovery mode by Hardware (Vol+-, PwrBtn)

I tried to get a connection with MTK Droid Tools because a made a full backup before rooting.
SP Flash Tool is not working as well.
I think both tools need USB Debugging to be turned on which is not enabled on my phone.
So how do i get a connection to my phone to replace the recovery Image?

I played around with ADB and Fastboot but did not get it working at all.

Any Tips for me, please?

[Q] device bricked with no access to recovery topic

Hey all.

So my friend cried to me as I am the "expert" guy in my friends circle about his phone not functioning. I've tried to search about it, of course, but I am a total noob at phones that aren't Nexus :p so I'm sorry if I make stupid mistakes.

He told me he was trying to move from Stock to CM11 and that caused to device not booting up (shows a picture of a dead android) and recovery not accessible (says something like "this mode is for data backup.."). He claims he had Root and custom recovery but I'm not sure about his BL status..

When trying to hard reset, it shows a "thinking android" but quickly after it tries to boot and gets to the dead android again. I also tried to connect it to the PC with an LG software but it doesn't recognize it..

I'm pretty much out of ideas and the fact that this phone is not familiar to me doesn't help at all.

My wife and i use Galaxy s3 phones. Recently hers turned itself off in the night and wont turn on again. It was running a stock ROM unrooted. Battery is OK (tried on my phone). When I switch on I get the words Samsung Galaxy s3 but it goes no further. I can get into download mode but PC doesnt recognise the phone and wont boot to recovery using the 3 key press. In download mode I get an android picture and the word downloading... but unsure quite what it might be or not downloading. If I pug in to power I get a pic of a battery which shows no animation, colour and the bar is at zero. (I wondered if this was the problem I have seen documented of sudden unexplicable bricking of the S3)

I plan to leave it a few hours like this in download mode with poer cable on to see what happens now but maybe there is someone who can give advice even if its "buy a new phone".... The top L of the screen says

Bricked ascend p6 topic

So this morning I wanned to update my Jelly Bean to kitkat . I have my ascend p6 only 2months , earlyier i had galaxy young ,and i installed many roms on him, so i wanned to instal kitkat on this phone, so i installed cwm and started in recovery mode, after that i tried to instal, Look for the attachment
when i tried to chose zip from sd card nothing showed up it just like crashed or smth , after that i tried to restart and start again in recovery , in this time i chose zip from/storage/sd card , in this time it showed up and i tried to instal rom, after that i tried to instal gaps and superuser, both of them failed, then i restarted my phone and it stuck on Huawei ascend logo, its has been for some hours im trying to fix this, i've looked all over internet, i tried to take out sd card and put B125.zip file and instal it, i read it on net that it can help, after that i putted back my sd card in phone and after that i tried to go into recovery mode , put the phone doesnt reads the SD CARD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! help please !!!!

Hey XDA Community,

So, I finally got around to rooting my tablet and phone. I was doing my tablet first and was referring to the great tutorial here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...utmk=202098450

I will state what I did first. I placed the philz_touch_4.93.6-p5100.zip file in the root of my Micro SD card. This was done NOT USB, but I actually have a USB adapter for my Micro SD cards. I have rooted many phones and devices successfully, but I mad a dumb mistake. I pressed the volume down with power, instead of volume up and and power. With that being said, I have bricked my device. Just wondering on how to get out of it and restart the rooting process.

My message on the screen is:

--Applying Multi-CSC....
Successfully applied multi-CSC.

Now send the package you want to apply
to the device with "adb sideload <filename>"...

If you guys could please help me out here, I would really appreciate it. Also, sorry if I have posted this in the wrong section.

My English Language is bad but i need help

I have Samsung s3 I747M made in korea

1st . the phone not charging or read in my PC

2nd . then I take it to technical & he said that the charge socket is down :D

3rd . he change the socket But the Problem still like first case the handset not charging :crying:

4th . the technical told me he will see what can he do for me .. but after 1 week nothing change :D

5th . then i took the handset & go to another technical . he told me that the charge IC is down and need to change it but your IC mobile is not here in our country ( I am from Egypt ) because your handset is made for European specifications <---- this is the frist Problem :(

the second Problem is I cant log in to my OS the phone stuck on Samsung Galaxy S||| :crying: :( >>>> but I can log in to recovery mode (TWRP) 2.6.3.0

[Q] Desire bricked topic

Hi,

After trying to install a stock rom through RUU, the screen of my phone went black, and since then the phone doesn't start any more. The battery is full, and when I press the power button, it vibrates once, but nothing happens. I tried accessing the recovery mod, and the bootloader, but nothing works. My phone is bricked, and I want to know if there is any software solution to unbrick it.
Could any one help me with this?
