[Q] HELP | HTC Desire 500 (App. Manager) topic

Hello, dears. It's an honor to be here among you :)

I bought my new HTC Desire 500 (w/ HTC Sense UI 5.0) last November and I noticed some weird problem:

When I log into the App. Manager to uninstall an app for example; it gets stuck in "uninstalling bar" and rarely shows "uninstalling completed".

Moreover; whenever I log into an app to clear its data or cache, the readings (Total, App, SD card app, etc.) get stuck in "computing" and when I click any option like "move to SD" or even "clear cache" it does not respond.

I tried everything; restarting, battery pull, wipe cache, factory reset and it is never solved :crying:

I hope there is an easy solution for this because it is really irritating :(

Finally root your HTC Desire 700 Dual Sim


Download and install the following before starting the Unlock Bootloader
Google Android SDK zip:
http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html

Java Runtime Environment:
http://java.com

HTC Sync (Windows Only):
http://www.htc.com/www/help/

1. Go to http://www.htcdev.com
2. Select Unlock Bootloader
3. Click Get Started
4. In the drop down menu select "All other supported model"
5. Follow the instructions in next page and till to the end.
6. Once you unlocked the bootloader your warranty will be void.
7. Now go to http://www.mgyun.com/en/getvroot and download VROOT.
8. Install and follow the instruction. Your phone will be rooted.

I have done this on my own risk and rooted my phone. If you not sure about something please don't try this.

Hi,

After trying to install a stock rom through RUU, the screen of my phone went black, and since then the phone doesn't start any more. The battery is full, and when I press the power button, it vibrates once, but nothing happens. I tried accessing the recovery mod, and the bootloader, but nothing works. My phone is bricked, and I want to know if there is any software solution to unbrick it.
Could any one help me with this?

hi,,I was using my desire hd and i used it till it completely ran out of power and now it doesnt On and it doesnt charge,, if i plug the charger in it vibrates and after that nothing,,if i remove the battery and insert it back it still wouldnt on and keeps vibrating,,,so please help me my phone is like completely useless now so please can you help me.
I used an external battery charger and then used the charged battery but it still behaves the same i. e it vibrates when i press the power button.Kindly help.

Hi guys, hopefully this will be an easy one for somebody.
I have s-offed and installed amon ra 2.0.1 on my htc desire. Now,when I try and flash a rom it comes up with an error saying missing files,But I have tried 3 different roms.
I have done all the usuall,wiping cache etc.
It is a pvt4,hboot is now 6.93.1002.

Tried all the avilable roms avilable here for desire , but non of them works perfectly fine, Some roms managed to run smoothly but for just some days and then it becomes to crash and crash, then I have to reflash them or struggling to find another rom, may that runs smoothly,

Plz anyone tell me which rom to use as a daily driver , I compromise on camera and video recorder , but it should rum smoothly, m fed up to change roms again and again , and setting up my phone from 0 again .....

I had a bricked Desire HD on which I gave for JTAG (restoring hboot). However, after the JTAGging process, my mobile signals had gone and I noticed that the IMEI number was different on the firmware from the one written on the mobile box and the back of my phone, is there any way to repair restore it? HTC Desire X soft bricked topic

Hi All,

I've successfully rooted my HTC desire X using All In One tool kid.

It is working fine until I tried to flash with some other kernel. I've just downloaded some boot.img and placed it in kernel folder. Then I tried to flash it using "Flash your kernel".

Now, I cant turn on my phone. It is going into recovery mode but I don't have any backup to restore.

Kindly let me know how can I unbrick my phone.

I bought Htc desire hd on ebay, and i now i have big problem.

Desire won't start, but after 10-15 minutes it start but stuck on htc logo...
Pc recognizes it, but just lik removble disc...
On charger just orange led, wont start up...
I try ruu but pc cant see htc.
Nothing else...
I dont know anythnig about rom, kernel...etc
Previous owner said to me, that desire turn off while he was trying to root the phone.

Hey guys, after upgrading hboot(for htcdev) and unlocking bootloader and failed s-off(Branded o2 DE phone which wont take anything idk why) my phone's audio and Wifi isn't working at all.

O2 Germany branded.

Nothing helps. Tried to flash alot RUU's and even can't find GB for o2 DE, s-off failed, and my Vol (+) isn't working so it makes everything even more complicated.

[Q] Audio Bugs in HTC Desire 500 topic

Hello everyone I have a problem with my desire 500, I think it's a bug of jelly beans 4.1.2, records video with sound and voice messages with very low whatsapp are at a very low volume. someone has the same problem or similar? I have tried others and have the desire 500 styesso bugs. is a problem of htc or jelly beans 4.1.2? thanks to those who will give me 'advice ...

Workaround for HTC desire for flashing with broken volume keys topic

So i decided to make this small tutorial if you have broken volume keys and are a cheap felow like me. This way you will always have a way out
Trust me do this before its too late (if you end up in bootloop etc.)

Requierments:
-root
-custom rom any will do

So lets get started...

First thing install a touch recovery.

I use twrp: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1791371

Install it the way that the dev says and be sure to set up fastboot and adb on your pc i use Minimal and adb fastboot (google it) and drivers

Next...install any rom with root acces.....

Next install an app called quick boot from play store (that way you can choose to boot into bootloader, fastboot and recovery without pressing volume down + power)

So now you can do everything via touch...but you ask how do you go to recovery if you are in a boot loop or stuck on the starting screen?

Just turn off your phone then turn it on while pluged in to usb on pc with the power + back button and it will take you directly to fastboot

From fastbootType in on your cmd : fastboot boot (recovery image) in my case

* fastboot boot openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.0-bravo.img

and it will take you to recovery where you can reflash anything.




Hope it helps someone who is cheap like me but i recomend you fix the volume buttons to skip all the hassle, in my case it is not worth the money.
